@Heatilator I don’t think it should be covered under warranty, but surprising that you are saying it is a normal occurrence. We’ve had gas fireplaces for 20+ years and it has never happened. Pretty substantial cost to replace and there is nothing in the manual saying it should be expected.

@Heatilator I have one of your gas fireplaces and the glass front literally exploded the other day when we had the fireplace turned on. That shouldn’t happen, right? The local dealer doesn’t seem to be able to help me. Can you please help?

@bob_j Bob, unfortunately there is not a way to safely block off the bathroom facing side of the appliance. You could get a free standing room divider. Please keep in mind that the appliance has a 3 foot clearance in front of it that must be maintained. I hope this helps. Thank you.

@Heatilator I have one of your "See Through" gas fireplaces. Is there a way to block off the back side, ideally in such a way that we could tile over it? We don't want a fireplace in the bathroom.

I get there is covid and war and a lot of bad things. To stop from doom scrolling I obsess over my house. We all have our things I guess. Current project is how to get the remote for my @Heatilator fireplace to work. I took it apart and everything! Still nothing. Now what? 😫

@Heatilator installed 42" Heatilator 2015. Haven't needed it to put out heat until our HVAC died. Now I see it is barely blowing any warmth with a raging fire and gasketed doors closed. If I turn up the fan high the fire goes crazy. Is something wrong? Also need doors repaired!

@Barbarahaag25 I would suggest to check all wire connections on the battery tray. If all of the connections are good, try a different set of batteries. If the new set of batteries fails to work, I would have to recommend you partner with an authorized dealer in your area.

@Heatilator I’m in San Antonio Texas. Heatilator won’t light when I put in the batteries. Power is out and we r very cold. Suggestions!?

@nicbloodfreitag Hi Nicole, If you have a remote system, it is possible there is interference in the area that is making the fireplace turn on and off. You can re-sync the remote to the receiver to put it on a new frequency, that should help.
