If she is happy and is consenting I can’t argue - but if she’s doing it for money only and hates it, diff story. And my point was law students who have just graduated don’t always earn 💰

Prostitution used to be nearly exclusively the domain of poor desperate young women. Now thanks to Only Fans prostitution has become a possible career choice for financially stable upper middle class women. It is extremely depressing and deeply terrifying to consider how many women in the latter camp have jumped at the chance to be hookers.

I worked at a law firm, and apart from magic circle/London, it’s extremely low paid&competitive at the beginning. OF is appealing for 💰💰💰

No I don’t agree, some are due to migration for sure however, I think most of the problems are economic or borne of it. Fix that part and it’ll fix pretty much everything else. We’re at the start of the 1930s playbook again. How did that happen? The Depression in 1929 created the conditions for the rise of fascism. Not dissimilar economic conditions to what we’ve had for the past decade in the aftermath of the GFC. In the 30s fascist leaders exploited those conditions, offering a vision of stability and unity while blaming others for the economic woes. Again - you only have to look around to see a repeat of that. Take the housing market as a prime example. While the 1929 economic crisis alone didn’t cause fascism, it significantly accelerated its rise by creating widespread social and political unrest along with scapegoating subsections of society. It’s classic bait and switch stuff this.

So we’ve now got Trump wanting to take Greenland by force, Canada by economics, the Panama Canal by decree along with Facebook scrapping all the moderators and fact checkers. To borrow a word I learnt from @rorysutherland this is going to be the enshittification of absolutely everything isn’t it. Truth has given up and left the stage. We never learn. We never bloody learn.

@filterkaffe1337 @robbaleyallan @peterrhague Unsure in the UK as haven’t experienced it. My husband is from 🇿🇦 and there are some horror stories there. He couldn’t pay for his treatment (age 23) after a car crash so they woke him from a coma and sent him home with meds. NHS is not perfect, but it’s better than 100% private.

I alluded to the NHS experience being shocking, here is what happened. This is "the envy of the world" My wife has been ill so tried to get a GP appointment. Normal process of phoning at 8:30am and staying on hold for an hour to speak to someone.
