Florida doesn't have an income tax because it's been constitutionally prohibited for over a century.
On the other hand, Ron DeSantis increased taxes on Floridians by over a billion dollars since he's been in office. We remember SB 50 from 2022 when he signed the bill after 11pm and Floridians woke up the following morning to new online sales taxes.

Ron DeSantis cut taxes while every other state was finding new ways to take your money. Florida has no income tax and a surplus. He doesn’t meet the standard. He IS the standard.

The year was 2009, there was a plan by former Democrat House Speaker Tom Gustafson (working out of FIU) to connect every college & university by rail & dedicate a small portion of sales tax to it for the next 50 years to build out the system with the SUS.

Broward County is putting a small surtax on the November ballot to fund heart scans and cancer scans for residents. I’m voting IN FAVOR of this because with the amount of taxes that come in there is no reason why we cannot give healthcare to residents.
