Coincidentally on Friday last week I found Bigirwa at Luzira Upper Prison, he had gotten “unusual” clearance to see NUP political prisoners from the Head of Prison’s office something so rare. For the numerous occasions I have been to Luzira, for one to see someone from the OC’s office, S/he usually has must have clearance from Mr Babashaija, Head of Prisons and must be a VIP. When I interacted with the political prisoners including @AMufumbiro , it’s when I learnt that Bigirwa is working with Mr Nsibambi to convince the political prisoners to plead guilty and be pardoned by Gen M7, a one Ssegujja Rashid a former prisoner was also in Luzira on a similar mission. No wonder Nsibambi has been bragging about ensuring the public that soon many political prisoners are going to be out. The fact is, the likes of Bigirwa & Nsibambi are counting on political prisoners to secure their next bag/appointments. When the prisoners learnt this, they all boycotted Bigirwa and they wondered in what capacity was he meeting them from the OC’s office, a preserve of a few. To put this into context,even when @NUP_Ug’s secretary general visits, he goes through the ordinary procedure, sees them from the glass cubicles.

#genevasummit2026 i wish @hebobiwine hadnot appeared in a suit. since he fled with nothing, the optics should mirror that reality. he looked too polished for a uganda that is bleeding. folks, in moments of crisis, visual symbolism matters. zelensky understands & easily persuaded the international community! this is my other unpopular opinion!
