@ibuildthecloud Look, everybody's a developer now the same way everybody with a karaoke machine is a singer. The code works, technically. You just don't wanna be in the room when it runs.

@ibuildthecloud Was your prompt really just „make better“ or did you point it in the right direction?

I had sonnet port this react app to svelt. and then I basically ran codex in a loop of "make better" and wow, it's a super clean code base now.

Hear me out. Crazy idea. What if we took one billion and just… did some good. Right now. Instead of investing it in AI to maybe do some good one day.

i hate the way tool calling works today, so i built a fix for it its called `executor` and it lets your agent run code to call any API / MCP / GraphQL server rather than installing CLIs this is a soft launch, you can try it with npm i -g executor but im still making it great

Man, I felt this video so hard. It feels like all of us (devs) that are using AI are trying to tiptoe around these feelings, or hang onto "but I use it correctly! i review the code!", idk, I think the drug analogy is apt. Once you have the button, it feels impossible to not use the button. On the one hand, there is something so tempting about throwing it all away and going back to life as it was before all of this. Even a little part of me that hopes it's all unsustainable and crumbles down around me so I don't have to make the impossible decision. On the other hand, I've spent most of my career unable to sleep at night because I couldn't wait to wake up and implement the solution that came to me before bed. I don't have that problem anymore, I sleep like a baby, and I'm only now realizing it's because there's no mystery anymore, no burning desire to wake up and shape the world. I just put the prompts in, and that doesn't get me out of bed. Rock and a hard place for sure. Anyway, use OpenCode, our new subscription (Go) is the best way to buy your drugs I mean tokens! 🥲

Somewhere out there is a guy who uses Notion, Superhuman, OpenClaw on a Mac Mini, Raycast, a mechanical keyboard ($400), Wispr Flow, and gets nothing done every day

Programming was deeply satisfying work to me. Work for hours/days before getting the payoff of the code working well on your machine. I’m feeling so much friction now to open the editor and do this kind of task by hand, but also increasingly depressed with the nature of work in an AI assisted dev workflow. Back and forth prompting seems to eat at my soul. Need to find a balance that brings back some of the toil.

Debugging a GitHub Actions workflow is just committing a file with 'test' in the message 47 times until the YAML gods accept your offering.

both my hands are in plaster after a road accident last week. can’t move my fingers at all i just shipped a PR using dictation and opencode i never thought about ai this way before. it doesn’t just make you faster, sometimes it makes things possible when nothing else can ai is really empowering
Kenton Varda@KentonVarda

I submitted a bug report for a minor UI annoyance in @opencode on Saturday night, thinking "no one will care". @nexxeln had a PR up in 3 hours, @adamdotdev merged shortly thereafter, and it landed in a release Sunday around noon. What. 🤯 github.com/anomalyco/open…

We should make EnterpriseClaw just for the lolz. Java 21, Spring Boot, 14 abstract factory beans, 2GB Docker image, takes 45 seconds to start, AbstractSingletonProxyFactoryAgentClawResponseHandlerBeanDefinitionRegistryPostProcessorImpl .java
