Donald Trump's blockade of Iran is backfiring. The US is holding the world economy hostage to starve Iran, and now we are headed to Great Depression-like crisis. All because the empire can't admit defeat. If US military aggression could beat Iran, it would have happened by now. Instead, Trump is starving the whole world out of desperation. The legitimacy of the US empire will never come back from this.

@tparsi Which is why I find it idiotic that Iran keeps agreeing to meet for talks, especially with pro-Israel Witkoff and Kushner's as negotiators. Those two should be banned. The Trump Administration, by way of Israel, has no sincere interests in a ceasefire or peace.

Due to poor discipline, Trump ends up prioritizing the optics of victory over actually getting a deal. Instead of using deescalatory signals from Iran to get closer to a deal, he declares victory and seeks Iran's humiliation, and by that he undermines his own diplomacy.

I’m beyond upset after the Iran vote. I again voted to end the war. But Republicans gave Trump exactly what he wanted: unlimited and unchecked power. This is a disastrous, dangerous, and reckless illegal war that the people are sick of paying for. Republicans don’t care.

My statement has been very clear, and although the media has been persistently inquiring, I will reiterate it here: I do NOT care about party affiliation. If someone is engaged in unethical and/or illegal behavior and there is evidence, I will vote to expel them.
