My default opinion on anyone complaining about needing digital id for social media or kids being banned from it, is that you're a raging nonce worried about how you're now going to groom children. I have a daughter who will be impacted, but she will cope and she will be safer.

Yes under 16s should be banned from social media, we ban them from buying alcohol, cigarettes and even energy drinks. Social media is as addictive, and as damaging. Go play outside kids, like most of us did when we were below 16.

It is needed because not every parent cares enough about their child’s wellbeing when it comes to social media. Unfortunately we don’t all parent the same in that sense so the government had to step in. How are under 16’s being allowed to be groomed on Snapchat and the parents are oblivious? Theres enough trolls and predators on this internet and I can’t wait until they have to give ID so they can use social media.

This social media ban doesn’t affect me or my child because he weren’t allowed it to begin with. But I do agree with it, social media is frying adults brains, so imagine what it’s doing to the kids them.
