I'm pretty quick to criticize anti-police progressive lefties. But anybody who gloats Ryan Carson "had it coming" because of his political beliefs should pause, and the shut the serious f*ck up. He did nothing wrong. And he was murdered.

"Woke" is nastier than "political correctness" because it's a contemptuous mockery of a term that originated with black people, and it still carries that racialized payload. There's a subtext to it more akin to another, older term that I won't say, but that ends in "lover"

@wesyang This is a teacher’s perspective, mind you. Obviously there’s going to be variations from school to school and I have my own views on standards lowering (but that is more on how kids are funneled through the system regardless of mastery)
