For everyone building a Bitcoin circular economy, locals from that community need to be involved and lead the project. If the local community isn’t at the center, the project won’t have real long-term significance. It’s a common mistake we see: when only outsiders drive it, they can contribute value but have different priorities and might leave. The locals need to lead for it to be truly sustainable. Bitcoin should be a tool to empower them, just like in Bitcoin Beach, where the local people benefit directly. So if you’re visiting, spend locally, support local businesses, and let the community lead. That’s how you truly help it thrive.

@EquityDiamonds @ProjectBabbage I think you're misunderstanding something. It's a protocol, no one owns it, no one controls it. People just use it as a framework to build their apps. There are hundreds of interoperable Nostr apps that do all sorts of stuff.
