⭕️ Tulsi Gabbard says it’s not Intelligence Community’s Job to Decide What’s an “Imminent Threat” Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard testified today, Wednesday, March 18, 2026, before the Senate Intelligence Committee regarding the intelligence community's annual "Worldwide Threats" report. Her testimony largely focused on the current conflict with Iran and her role in domestic election-related actions.   Gabbard stated that the Iranian regime "appears to be intact but largely degraded" after weeks of U.S. and Israeli air strikes. She did that its conventional military power projection capabilities have been "largely destroyed," leaving it with "limited options." When pressed by senators—most notably Jon Ossoff (D-GA.)—on whether Iran posed an "imminent nuclear threat" prior to U.S. strikes, Gabbard declined to give a direct yes or no answer. She insisted that "the only person who can determine what is and is not an imminent threat is the President." Gabbard's testimony included a discrepancy between her written and oral statements.
