@HonestDino

Another disenfranchised Albertan. Socialism is slavery. Rights are real. Truth is objective. Unity is our strength. They said I'm a Dinosaur.

@indigoflow13 @resistrabbit @quill67 @JamesOKeefeIII He said it sounded like an Israeli move. You said actually Tyrmand is Ashkenazi Jewish. I said it doesn't matter, the state of Israel takes all Jews. If you weren't trying to deflect blame from Israel, then I must have misunderstood your reply. Oh well.

@fordsmith @JonFromAlberta That's why most are advocating for a two-stream system like many European countries have. Even if we imported the American system for some reason, that would mean same-day doctor visits for double what we pay per month in taxes for healthcare. Some would like that.

@JonFromAlberta A lot of people feel that frustration with wait times, but it’s also true that systems built around private insurance can create their own barriers like cost and unequal access, so the real conversation is how to improve access without losing fairness for everyone ⚖️

Canadians are told our whole lives that we have this amazing healthcare system. But how many Canadians have actually experienced what healthcare can look like in other countries where competition, insurance, and market forces help drive better access and better service? In Canada, people wait months, sit on endless wait lists, and in some cases die before getting treated. Yet we’re still told to be proud of the system. That’s one reason medical tourism is growing. Canadians pay taxes into a healthcare system they often can’t even access when they need it, then end up going to other countries and paying again just to actually get care. At some point, people have to admit they’re being sold a story that no longer matches reality.

@chaysetech @JonFromAlberta No, he sounds like he's heard of most European countries, which get better healthcare for similar costs. Why do defenders of Canada's broken system always pretend that the only alternative is America's broken system? Are they just addicted to getting screwed over?

@JonFromAlberta You sound like an American. Is the medical industry better in the U.S.A.? Of course not. I am pretty certain the U.S. pharmaceutical industry is what destroyed Canada's healthcare system. American influence is destructive. Globalism is even worse.

The film Planet of the Vampires, also known as Terrore Nello Spazio and 吸血鬼の惑星 (Kyuketsuki no Wakusei) was released in 1965 and was one of the most terrifying experiences of my 10 year old life. A starship picks up a signal from a lifeless world and lands. It turns out that the signal was a warning, from a wrecked alien spacecraft, containing the remains of gigantic dead aliens. In fact, the world has evil parasite creatures on it. Sound like the first half of Alien? Yeah, me too. The movie feels like a "gothic" horror. The spaceship interiors are gigantic echoing metal chambers. Outside are weird glowing lights and rock formations. The astronauts wear dark leather uniforms. It has stuff rarely seen in science fiction - the dead rise from their graves for example. No one sucks blood - they're not vampires in the literal sense. But it is one of my favorite horror movies of all time. And when I saw it at age 10, I tried to hide behind my theater seat at certain moments. It's by Mario Bava, one of the most renowned horror directors of all time, and if you haven't seen Bava's work this is a terrific introduction.

@RealEmirHan Edward Norton didn’t really personify Bruce Banner though. Mark was able to capture the shy, distant, mad scientist. Edward Norton did a great hulk action movie but he wasn’t Banner. People dislike mark now for political reasons. He’s still the better choice.

Edward Norton was so into The Incredible Hulk that he rewrote and reworked many parts of the script. He basically made Hulk what he was all along: badass and powerful. Marvel didn’t like how much control he wanted. Norton said: “I laid out a two-film thing: The origin and then the idea of Hulk as the conscious dreamer, the guy who can handle the trip. And they were like, ‘That’s what we want!’ As it turned out, that wasn’t what they wanted. But I had a great time doing it."

@RealEmirHan Norton is an overrated Hulk and a pretty mid Banner but people glorify it because his Hulk did have cool action scenes and at the very least wasn't as bad as the current iteration of mcu hulk with Ruffalo

@DeiCivitas Life in prison is wasteful. If they're a net liability to the nation and no one will sponsor their freedom (being subjected to the same punishment for any future crime), get them out of the nation one way or another.

🚨 BREAKING! @ABDanielleSmith Clearly expresses her disdain for a super majority of the membership of the UCP who all support Alberta Independence. “MY POSITION IS THAT WE SHOULD REMAIN IN CANADA” Danielle Smith always wants to talk about her “mandate”. If she had expressed that she opposed Alberta Independence (like Brian Jean did) while running for the leadership of the UCP she wouldn’t be Premier today. Her entire leadership campaign was based on using the WEXIT Party List and APP Support to fool people into believing that she supported independence. Also note she loves to talk about “Alberta Sovereignty” but won’t announce the Alberta Firearms License that was promised last year. She seems content to have her base CRIMINALIZED by her new friend Mark Carney. Go to 24:50 and onward. x.com/i/broadcasts/1…

@PaulTeamAlberta @david_parker Was in the same boat. Even if you make ends meet, you still feel like you're sinking further into debt, because you know expenses are coming up that you have no way of saving for. Car maintenance, home maintenance, rent increase, etc. Every paycheck feels borrowed.

The median income for a Canadian is $42,600 CAD a year. I have absolutely no clue how a person survives in the modern world on this kind of income. It is incomprehensible to me.
