@BigDickFricker @Nance726 AFAIK, she has only waded into the debate twice: first to support a follow-up post Joshua Charles wrote after his initial one took off, and second to suggest we quit the infighting. In any case, calling a woman a slut only causes offense and accomplishes nothing.

I really wish this “battle royale of the sexes in the name of Christianity” would just stop. I can assure you that this is NOT part of God’s plan for his children. (And I’m too busy monitoring my own behavior to worry about anyone else’s).

@BreeSolstad If I had to enter Heaven after my child, I would hope to find him there, waiting for me. I can't imagine entering Heaven knowing that my child is God Himself.

I've never heard women talk about it in real life or online. It's never a topic. But when some man dares declare women might dress more modestly, or that men can have an opinion on this topic, what chaos arises. The recent kerfuffle which is now hopefully dissipating pales in comparison to others I've seen online in the last 15-20 years.

@HonestOutcast @UpTambourine I can't imagine where you got the idea that Catholic women, and Christian women in general, don't care about modesty. Could it be because you misinterpreted a conversation about domination and boundaries as being about the modesty it was trying to hide behind?

No, just hate random internet doomers who try to pretend to be every woman's husband and boss them around. It's good to recoil in disgust when people abuse the Holy Word of God.

Christian women seethe and convulse like demoniacs when they read Ephesians 5:22-24. Feminism is so deeply ingrained in their collective consciousness that they feel physical discomfort upon hearing the infallible word of God as it pertains to wifely submission.

I see feminism as an imposition on the masses on the part of powerful actors, both natural and supernatural. We were already in the midst of great historical flux and feminism further broadsided us. We are collectively struggling to come to grips with the nature of the challenge that faces us. It seems to me that that challenge is the Cross itself. Together we must endure death in order to rise again. We must put our trust in Jesus. We must pray.

Podcastistan says feminism was the downfall of western society. I say it was the weak men that allowed the movement to get as bad as it has. And the evil men who funded the movement to begin with knowing it would bring nothing but chaos and destruction of the family unit.

@wing_trad @FishboneHarp This is one way to encapsulate feminism: empathy for women, but a bewildering blindness to male pain. How can you imagine that being a trans "woman" benefits a biological male? Of course this also is an expression of profound psychological agony.

@FishboneHarp Trans men break my heart. Its almost certain that she experienced some sexual abuse or is on the spectrum and instead of walking her through solutions/treatments they cut off her boobs. The trans movement has been the worst to women in every single way while men benefit

@Metadrene I don't believe looking for "one clear verse" is a sensible way to read the Bible.

The Trinity is like Bigfoot. Everyone says they’ve seen it in the Bible, but nobody can point to one clear verse.

Catholic women: just own being called a feminist. Our doctrine teaches us men and women have equal dignity which is all it takes to be considered a feminist by these knuckle dragging brutes. Just own it

We trained 26 young women of high school age from across the diocese to work as sacristans on a 3-day retreat this week. I'm nearly recovered from it. It was amazing and went very well! Many of you were praying for the success of this effort. Thank you for your prayers!

The Bible's chapter numbers were added around 1204 by Stephen Langton, a Catholic theologian in Paris. The verse numbers were added in 1551 by a printer in Geneva. For most of Christian history, nobody read Scripture as numbered proof texts. It was a story, read aloud, in church.

@TheHeroesForge Hang on, hang on. The woman he quoted admitted she wasn't Christian. Our Catholic modesty debate came across the feeds of those who aren't Catholic.

This is getting to be a commonly held belief. It seems that when they’re confronted with the plain reading and interpretation of scripture that had existed for the first 1900 years before feminism, so many fake “Christians” recoil in horror. I get it. They have been granted so much power and now they’re like vampires loose in the blood bank.
Atlas🇻🇦@theactuallew

I’m starting to think most women aren’t Christian at all. That they’re mostly pagan and enjoy Christian folklore
