Eddie Ray Hill Jr. lost his life trying to protect a female coworker during a domestic violence situation involving her estranged husband. The husband showed up at her workplace, Eddie stepped in to help, and he was shot to death. The husband then injured his wife before taking his own life. Stories like Eddie’s do not get enough attention. He was someone’s son, father, brother, and friend. Too often, men risk their lives stepping into dangerous situations without knowing the full history, the threats involved, or whether weapons are present. In this case, the husband was reportedly a convicted murderer out on parole. This is why I constantly tell men to be cautious when intervening in domestic disputes. You may think you are helping, but you may not know what kind of violence or instability you are walking into. Some men end up losing their lives trying to save someone else. Rest in paradise to Eddie Ray Hill Jr. Prayers to his family, loved ones, and everyone affected by this tragedy. His funeral will be held on May 25.

🚨 Michael Carrick will stay at Manchester United as permanent manager, confirmed. Direction clear for weeks, plan also approved by Sir Jim Ratfliffe and new deal set to be signed soon. New deal for 2 years plus option to extend or directly 3 years, but no doubts: Carrick says yes and will sign the contract.

94% of Delta’s sales are now in USD. It turns out the dollar works rather well for corporates, the informal sector and government revenues. So all the hullabaloo about ZiG is just for ZBC viewers. P.S. I’m not complaining. The economy is effectively dollarised. The RBZ can continue promoting ZiG while the economy hums along in USD. Why add to Zim risk profile with all the dedollarisation talk?

Building collisions kill hundreds of millions of birds every year. Vehicle collisions kill hundreds of millions more. Powerline collisions kill tens of millions. Communication towers kill millions. What makes human infrastructure-related bird deaths particularly damaging is that they are additive & they do not target the weakest. They kill the strong, the healthy, and the fast birds. Transparent and reflective glass in buildings disorients birds flying at high speed; they see sky or trees in the reflection and fly straight into the glass, often dying instantly. Most birds have lateral vision optimised for tracking prey to the side, not for detecting threats coming directly in front. Planes, vehicles, and glass walls exploit this blind spot. Road accidents create a vicious cycle. One bird is killed. Scavengers gather to feed on the carcass. They too are struck and killed. Red warning lights on communication towers were meant to keep birds away, but many species are drawn to the light instead, circling it repeatedly until they die of exhaustion. Powerline electrocutions hit larger birds hardest. Their wingspan makes them more likely to simultaneously touch two wires, or a wire and the ground-->completing a deadly circuit. And wind turbines, despite being green energy, kill lakhs of birds annually through direct blade strikes. Birds are paying the price of human progress, with their lives.

This is the person who invented the plug that goes into the wall and secures the screw. His name is Artur Fischer, from Germany. The plug was invented in 1958. He also invented the flash that synchronizes the capture of the image. He has 1,100 patents, more than Thomas Edison's with 7. He died in 2016.

.@glenmpani one key question you should have no problems answering: When did Zimbabweans ever clamour for a change in how they elect their President? This “debate” you’re “contributing” to - where among Zimbabwean citizens has it arisen from? Ndepapi uye ndiriini ruzhinji rweZimbabwe parwakati tiri kunzwa shungu yokushandura masarurirwo emutungamiri wenyika? Of course, the question is redundant, because this is a contrived debate. It is not organic; it’s imposed by E.D’s cabal and fuelled by his consultant narrative builders - yourself, @ProfJNMoyo and others - to try and make it a real thing.
