Did he not have multiple games with less than 60 yards? I know I saw him struggle to get 30 passing yards vs the Bills and Tyrod came in and instantly tripled that number in 1 quarter. They wouldve beat the Broncos with any competent QB play Call it what you want man, a 5th year QB shouldnt still struggle this bad to read the field, struggle to make presnap checks, and be so afraid to throw picks that he takes sacks (same issue Caleb had his rookie year) I get the Jets suck, but he should atleast look like one of the more talented players on a bad team. Lesean McCoy just talked about that on SpeakEasy. Chase Daniels has a great video breakdown on Fields not being able to read the field. For a coach to see his physically gifted 27 year old QB they paid a good amount for, and decide that a journeyman 35 year old gives them a better chance to win is wild.

What difference does it make when the games take place when you play well in the games you play in? You think people are idiots and are going to read “throw less than 60 yards” and not consider the context or have a memory recollection of what happened in those games? The shit you try and do don’t work on normal people bro.

This entire post summed up exactly how “nuts” @Mac74King aka (Mr.Krabs) thinks about daily on Justin Fields… you are entitled to have your opinion of any NFL player but the way you hate on JF makes no damn sense whatsoever yet you were his biggest of biggest fans his first two years as A bear MR.KRABS😭😭
Kurt Warner@kurt13warner

One thing that’s funny to me is how we often act as if a QB isn’t very good if he is projected to be a “backup” in the NFL! This stuff is nuts to me… We are lucky to have 32 really good starting QBs in the league at any one time, being one of the next 32-64 best QBs in the world is incredible! QBs out there, many of us projected as “backups” & were ecstatic to be one, knowing we either had a great job or we were getting an opportunity to prove we could possibly be more! Every job has a #2 or #3 behind them, perfectly ok to at least start as one of those individuals!

Bro I do not get the JF obsession lol. I was so excited when he was drafted to the Bears, I was even hoping they traded up to get him. While the Bears didnt surround him with a great supporting cast, hes going to be on his 4th team in 4 years. That means 3 teams said nah, we are good. Traded for a 6th round pick twice. Im a huge Caleb fan also, and I can criticize him and say he needs to be more consistent, more accurate, and can be streaky. However, he has insane potential and is a huge improvement over Fields even last year when he had eberflus and waldron, with a terrible oline. You guys cant say ANYTHING to criticize Fields whatsoever. Its never JF’s fault. On the Steelers, Justin wasnt terrible, wasnt great, but its worth noting in his 4-2 record the defense gave up 9 points a game in the games they won. On the Jets he was damn near unwatchable after week 1. Idc about stats on the Jets because they are a horrible organization. What I care about is film, and it was bad. Vs the Broncos, Bills, Panthers I saw a QB in JF that was afraid to make mistakes, afraid to throw to the ball, and that was what the coach saw when he benched him for TYROD TAYLOR. I hope that he can grow in the backup qb role for the Chiefs, but I dont expect him to become a star QB out of nowhere. Not saying its impossible, but after 5 years he should be way ahead of where he is now.

@StyngrayChosen @1920bears @MrNaz78 @LostHebrew_Dre @UDONTKNOWRI @Mac74King Yes I am and I have watched every fields game and Caleb game. Caleb def has more weapons and I think fields would thrive in BJ offense however, the main difference I see is Caleb improved on his mistakes, taking sacks and his deep ball, much better. While Fields still hasn’t

Calebs 3500 Passing yard, 20TD 6INT rookie season is still better than fields has ever had passing. Even then, IDC about stats being the end all be all, film and your own eyes say that Fields has great games (Bengals, Steelers) every 5-10 games and then its sandwiched by horrible QB play. His games vs the Bills, Broncos and Panthers were damn near unwatchable. I understand the Jets suck as an organization, but the Film shows WHEN Justin had receivers open he missed them or just didnt throw the ball and got sacked. He looked worse on film this year. As far as preferring him over CW, thats def just you and a very few others. Getting traded 2x for 6th round picks shows what GMS and the league see him as. This isnt even hating, I hope he can soak in the QB2 role, learn, and be a serviceable backup when needed.

@HotRodChicago @Mac74King Ben Johnson brought Caleb along. You think Justin Fields would have just stayed the same? Main thing CW has - which is important - is durability. JF not finishing a season without injury concerns me. Aside from that - I would have preferred him over CW. But that’s me

One thing thats missed by this though is that Calebs first 533 were all in his rookie year, and Justins were split between his rookie year and sophomore season. Thats a whole extra offseason, more reps in practice, etc. Also, including the passing TD/INT ratio would look something like Caleb: 18-20 TD 5-6 INT Justin: 20-22 TD 15-18 INT

One of the best tandems? I guess, JF force fed the ball to DJ (I don't blame him) so of course DJ would have great numbers. Caleb had 4+ receivers with 600+ yards. If they had incorporated Burden and Colston early and Rome stayed healthy, DJ would be the 3rd or 4th option every game. Which is why they moved off of him along with his high Cap hit. Say what you want about Calebs completion percentage, its not great and he has to improve it no doubt, but if you dont see the giant improvement at QB youre simply not paying attention. 1st season with Ben Johnson was to improve presnap checks, getting the play out in time, and avoiding sacks, which he did. This season they said they will work on improving accuracy. That is of course not Justin Fields fault, whats JF's fault is that he was in year 5 of the NFL and his tape looked WORSE. Having games with negative pass yards is almost impossible to do. Which is why he was benched on the Jets, and is now a fulltime backup.

@HotRodChicago @Mac74King Funny how JF & DJ were one of the best tandems in football. Then CW arrives with his league worst completion % and DJ production dropped off a cliff. That JF fault too?

A little over a month away from the 2026 draft, here are the positions I predict the Bears to address with their 7 picks, in loose order: EDGE S LB DT C T TE/WR What is your prediction?

Comeon man 🫤"Couldn’t afford to retain DJ Moore, Brisker, Edmunds, Billing, and Gardner Johnson" Bears could easily afford to bring these players back, they CHOSE not too. DJs cap hit was way too big and they got a 2nd out of the Bills, which was fantastic by Poles. Bears chose to go younger, faster by not bringing back Brisker, Edmunds, Billings, CJGC. Do you not remember them getting cooked all year??? The few times that the dLINE got pressure the secondary was still getting eaten alive. The Greer tweet is a test to see if you understand the cap situation or not. The teams that have a ton of cap space are either 1. Terrible 2. Restructured contracts and have QBs like Jared Goff getting paid 70mil plus down the road. Bears have not restructured any contracts, we are getting rid of the Dayo, Grady Jarret, etc "bad" contracts next offseason. If you think Poles even thinks about trading Caleb down the road...man. Justin Fields didnt get traded to fix the cap situation, he got traded because he stunk.

The Chicago Bears: Officially broke Ryan Poles traded Khalil Mack, Roquan Smith, Justin Fields.. Got rid of David Montgomery… Couldn’t afford to retain DJ Moore, Brisker, Edmunds, Billing, and Gardner Johnson All because he cashed in on two top ten picks on offense when it should’ve been used towards the haul Now you got a QB with no defense yet again! Now you trapped in cap space hell again!! Now you overpaying for underperforming free agents again! Now you in a situation where your QB doesn’t have a defense, again! Now you got unfilled holes at center, Left tackle, and EDGE again! Let’s face it… We got an exciting offense and a hell of a coach. We will not win anything in 2026 and that bothers me… The whole plan for drafting QB was to afford a Super Bowl team by restarting the QB position Well here we are about to be in another time frame where team is shattered and QB needs contract We are broke!! No money at all Will Poles trade Caleb Williams and draft another QB?! The cycle continues

Dude you can make a compilation of missed throws from Justin Fields on SCREENS alone. Lets not act like his completion percentage was through the roof either. Jets were a dumpster fire, but when there was playeds open he simply held on to the ball too long or missed them. Theres a reason hes been traded for a 6th round picks TWICE.

@Mac74King They numbers are what they are. Bears with Ben Johnson and Fields would have been a better team than Caleb. Rushing offense shoots to number 1 from number 3 & Fields is more accurate - making the easy throws CW often missed. If 4th Q CW shows up all game long - then u got sumn

@ChiBearsHistory @BadgerBearsFan Its wild man. All the stats Justin Fieldstans have to manipulate to get it to sound good is mental gymnastics. Its always (last 1000 attempts, last 15 games started AND finished) it usually tries to exclude the bad games.

The Bills are really desperate trying anything and everything to keep that window from slamming shut. I just dont get how you trade a 2 and take on $40M in guarantees for a 29 year old WR that has averaged 825 receiving yards over the last two years.

Elite QBs dont get traded for 6th round picks TWICE. Im very happy for Fields and think the decision to sit behind Mahomes and Reid is a great choice. However he is nowhere near elite. Caleb still hasnt received that title either, great player but still has one more tier to climb before being elite.
