@james_lucas21 Why am I getting a notification of this random tweet?

@cooltechtipz The bots in these replies!

@andytwelves @GoodwinMJ Please update if you ever get a response, I'd wager you'll be waiting some time....
English

EXC: .@GoodwinMJ’s new book “Suicide of a Nation: Immigration, Islam, Identity” is out now, and I’m only 5 chapters in and have found a huge amount of what appears to be false quotes and basic misinterpretations of data, that appear to be AI hallucinations.
Matthew, can you explain the claims you made in the book that I’ve outlined in the below thread?

English

@SeanEee_Me @FabianoCaruana Presumably Fabiano is talking about the Proctor software. I understand it had a reputation for being very buggy
English

@FabianoCaruana not trying to downplay anyones struggles - but for me on chesscom ive only had connection issues when in a bad area for internet / weather issues. During normal circumstances im ok 100% of the time. Seems like a rare or likely circumstantial problem for most
English

The chesscom thing disconnected me and gave me a 0 point bye in round 8 of their event where only 2 places qualify and everyone is within half a point of each other :) my internet didn't drop out, I was active in the play zone and as soon as the break timer ended it auto forfeits me. Pretty sure I'm not the only one affected by this bug too. It doesn't even give a time penalty, just instantly forfeits you.
English

@NoContextHumans Just give it to ChatGpt and it'll take just seconds to completely balls it up
English

@NimpsMcgee @kaloskorra @renatoesdbd @Moonmanbeyond They /did/ say "go off ya self" - You are happy with that?
English

@WATCHHOLLIE My first time round I thought raiding automatically ended the stream, had no idea I was still broadcasting my typing into the new streamers chat
English

Someone raided into my stream today and forgot to turn off their stream afterwards.
I usually click on people's names and show off their channel on my stream so i alerted them they were still live.
After my stream, (I was nosey), I went back to watch after they raided and the small smiles, little laughs, and attention they paid to my stream as they watched was so validating.
Streamers never get to see viewers watch them live or hear them laugh; its all silent over here and we just have to trust that we are making good content.
I want to remind you that although it may sound quiet when you're live, you're making people smile. And that's a beautiful thing
English

@LucyTCWife Have you stopped suggesting hotels should be set on fire yet?
English

@London_W4 Please follow up with details on when he pays up
English

This is my photo Andy that you’ve stolen. I hate when people do that. You went onto my site, downloaded it and using it without permission and without payment to me for usage. Just so you’re aware, I now employ a team of solicitors to invoice for all usage of my photos.

@Gh0stArcade If you posted more pictures of this dog I would probably look at them

@HilandrX @Knytanders @Leftykenbear @CurlingCanada @curlercups What makes you believe it isn't cheating?
English

@Knytanders @Leftykenbear @CurlingCanada @curlercups @bpgallant That’s not cheating- have you ever curled?
English

When @Leftykenbear from curling team @TeamBradJacobs was caught cheating by touching the stone after releasing it his reply to the Swedish athlete was "Fuck off". What an utter disgrace, @CurlingCanada! Nice display of the Olympic spirit in #Olympics2026

@Kornstalx @exQUIZitely Spinrite! There is a name I havent heard in forever
English

@exQUIZitely I had an old Maxtor drive seize up during one of my habitual defrags. Thankfully since everything was clustered in chunks I was able to recover quite a bit with Spinrite.
Also:

English

Some of you will be old enough to remember this. Defragging - and it actually did serve a purpose. It was essential for optimizing slow, mechanical hard drives by rearranging scattered data into contiguous blocks. By doing so increased data load times (since the physical head of the hard drive didn't have to move that much).
However, what I remember most was the almost hypnotical satisfaction of seeing all those little blocks flashing, being organized, and just "knowing" that it was good for my computer.
In times when you fiddled around with autoxec.bat and config.sys, when every little Kilobyte of RAM mattered, and when hard drives were measured in Megabytes, not Terrabytes, the weekly routine of defragging almost felt like cleaning up your room.

@danheisman Hi Dan, you might consider adding the Lichess Ladders site to your list - lichessladders.com . A few different semi-automated ladders for different time controls.

I have updated my "Find Slow Chess Online" web page at my website: danheisman.com/find-slow-ches… If you have additions/corrections, let me know - thanks! #Chess #chesspunks #chessdojo

@TheFl0orIsLaVa I'm hoping this is just a Blue Tick account hoping to get people to argue with their tariff 'understanding' in order to get views and a payout

@MuseumCommodore Paradroid was great

Name your favourite #Commodore64 game ever!
ME: Bruce Lee (1984) by Datasoft was the first Commodore 64 game I ever played with my father — and one of the only times we really bonded. The game was great as a single-player experience, but it was even more fun in two-player mode.The Commodore 64 was all about making memories.

@exquizitely This game was so good! Whatever magic it contained was lost when they moved on to the next iterations
English

Did you play this one back in the day? I was never that good at FPS games, but there were so many great ones to choose from in the 90s, that they often ended up in our LAN weekend sessions. One of those was Unreal Tournament (Epic Games, 1999).
I loved the incredible variety of levels and its designs, which made it stand apart from other shooters of its era. Brilliant graphics, fluid gameplay (even on PCs that weren't high end, like the ones you would need for Quake III Arena for example), kickass sound, and your typical capture the flag or deathmatches.
Many magazines gave it "Game of the Year" awards, the metacritic score was 94%, and if you ask any gamer what the best FPS of the 90s were, Unreal is definitely part of that group. I recently played it again and it has hardly aged.

Movie industry can't call it "AI slop" anymore.
This live-action fan trailer was made in few days under $500 using Higgsfield Cinema Studio v1.5.
