Excited to share our latest work: Using cryoET, we unraveled the in situ structure of a methanogen surface layer and its cell envelope. Now published in Science Advances! #teamtomo science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…

I want to take the opportunity to mention that I've written a slightly more user-friendly tutorial for the original microtubule seam-search protocol, together with other useful MT processing tricks.

The HURP field has been very active in the past few months! Check out related work by @LabPetry and @RuiZhangWUSTL also out today, where they dive into HURP's role in nucleating microtubules together with TPX2 🎆 nature.com/articles/s4146…

@ChrtienDenis1 @EdoardoDImprima @NatureComms The current Isonet version only consider single axis tomograms.
English

@subletterdave @yuntaoinnit @zhou_lab Isonet doesn’t produce tilt series yet. One may could project tilt series based on the predicted volume to have corresponding TS, but still have missing wedge in pseudo subtomograms. So some extra work need to be done in the future
English

@yuntaoinnit @zhou_lab Does Isonet produce tilt series as well as tomograms? Relion uses tilt series to generate pseudo-subtomograms (in Relion 4 at least). May have to use a program other than Relion 4 to generate IsoNet subtomograms.

Isonet paper is published online now on nature communications! Congrats to Yuntao @yuntaoinnit and Heng!
