As part of our program @HROC We tested 2.25 Hose 1 1/16 tip @ 50 psi = 240 GPM flow. @CFTactics @Hydrant2Nozzle

Thermal Rebound Drill: In each live fire training we conduct, we include a thermal rebound drill to demonstrate the importance between knock back and knock down. In this video, we demonstrate the HEN nozzle starting with a short burst with a straight stream, then a short burst with the blade pattern. Both short bursts cool the overhead briefly but we see the return/rebound. It is when we increase the duration of flow with the blade pattern that we see a full stop of convection currents while we are flowing. However, when we stop flowing we see the thermal rebound as we have not reached the seat of the fire yet. Our last demonstration, we use the vertical blade pattern and aim at the door (instead of the ceiling). The result? IT CRUSHES THE FIRE ROOM!. These demonstrations show the importance of a guided and properly flowed stream. Thanks for your support! #firefighters #thermalimaging #thermalimaging #hennozzles youtu.be/d6xD3qZeDnA
