Hate him or love him, President William will never abandon Kenyans at a time when they need him most.
His approach is simple: protect Kenyans first, absorb the shock, keep the country moving.
By injecting KES 6.2 billions subsidy from petroleum development fund, the government reduced the portion of the price increase reflected at the pump
Without that intervention, pump prices could have climbed toward KES 230 per litre.
Fuel VAT is a major component of pump prices. By lowering it to 13% temporarily for three months offers immediate relief to motorists and businesses.
While others talk, the government is spending, adjusting, and stabilizing to keep fuel flowing and the economy on track.

Obinna says that Raila’s supporters have now, by default, rallied around Babu Owino and will ensure that no one dares to harm or intimidate him.

As we continue to mourn the loss of Baba, earlier today, we fulfilled our commitment to facilitate the transportation of five bodies from the same family who tragically lost their lives in the fire incident in Mathare, Huruma area, which claimed the lives of eight innocent people just a week ago. The deceased include 41-year-old Dina Atieno, a devoted mother, and her four beloved children: Alice Olumi, 21; her twin sons Nimrod Olumi, and Vincent Olumi, 14, and Daniel Olumi, 13. They will be laid to rest in Kwisero, Kakamega County.
Dina's final moments, holding her twin sons in a loving embrace, highlight the depth of a mother’s love, even in the face of unimaginable tragedy.
In times like these, it is essential that we come together as one community, united in our grief and support for those affected. Let us keep the Olumi family in our thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.
May the Almighty God rest the deceased souls in eternal peace.

Like in Father of Nations, where leaders gather in a fictional summit to "fix Africa" while dodging accountability, Kenya’s ruling class talks of "bottom-up economics" while living top-down luxuries. The people? They queue in the sun to vote and in the rain to beg for services.
