He’s 100% right. The only problem I have is the brothers that scream this truth repeatedly aren’t doing a thing to change the situation.

Actually Farid al-Bahraini has an answer to this problem.
According to his feminist reinterpretation of fiqh, the standard Islamic view is that sex with a slave concubine requires her consent.
