*update* post was more so about how the performance is a bit not okay right now, I’m a dramatic person so no it doesn’t actually feel like “aiming on sandpaper” but I didn’t spend this much money on a pc for a new game to hit frames like that is all 💚

Some performance issues i noticed with marathon (a thread with details) figured some info could be helpful! @MarathonDevTeam

@Thien1o1 32gb is already more than enough, unless the game is using over 30gb, going to 64gb won’t improve frames or frame times, especially with reviOS and nothing else open besides steam and marathon (no overlays) and marathon doesn’t use over 30gb

@Hyperizu How much of a difference do you think you’d see if you ran 64gb ram over 32?

@Hyperizu @MarathonDevTeam Yeah same cpu (with the 3d lul) but a 5080 and im getting dips to 130 on trios fights in fire marsh (usually 180+)

@JohnRaiderV1 @MarathonDevTeam I’m assuming so but to have a 9800xd with a 4080 super as of my last gaming session earlier having an fps drop of 126fps is CRAZY and as much as I love bungie and marathon a tad bit unacceptable imo

@soluutv @DeepSpace_DSW @WeatherReportx Fair and I would agree if it was slight performance issues like lows of 180 - 200fps is very fair but a pc like this should never see as of my play session today 126fps maybe on all high but again all low with upscaling at 40% that’s levels of not really being acceptable imo 🙏

@DeepSpace_DSW @WeatherReportx and to clarify further all of the fps games i described, overwatch 600fps, fortnite 400fps, destiny 2 350fps, apex capped at 300fps warzone 280fps are the lowest i get

@Hyperizu @WeatherReportx Define "most games". Because, looking at Hardware Unboxed's 9800x3d review, in non-esprots games it ended up being like 200 avg, 150 1% (with some higher and some lower). So, what you described seems like reasonable if mb a bit low performance.
