@Drew_Kinney @bradleyflowers Most open conferences pay a fee that speakers request. Innovation isn’t an open conference, private for members only.

Conference idea to potentially shake things up: $1 to attend. The catch is if you don’t show up your card is charged $799 for the would be ticket price. Get as many people to attend as possible. Vendors will pay a premium for more attendees which offsets the cost. Host in an area that’s easy/cheap to travel to. This also opens it up to attendees who might not normally come bc of cost. A win/win for attendees and vendors. Discuss.

I was completely caught off guard and totally honored to be asked by Will and the fine folks at Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America to be on the cover of their November issue of Independent Agent Magazine, a magazine which goes out to basically every independent insurance agent in the country. We started Portal Insurance with a vision, a couple of desks and a warehouse turned into an office….to see how far we have come is inspiring, but we aren’t slowing down any time soon. While it’s cool to be on the cover, I wish it could be my awesome team. This is a testament to how hard they work and have bought into our mission. I just wish someone in the insurance space would get the AMS/CRM product right. There are good things in a lot of products, but the glaring holes in each of them is so hard to overlook. It's so frustrating.
