This study used a drop tower and a headform instrumented with accelerometers to measure how effectively different types of commercially-available protective headwear products attenuated impact forces. The study was designed to simulate head impacts from falls.

More for the #FallPreventionISPGR collection! @IBAL_Lab measured the impact reduction of different types of wearable headgear that target older adults. These products aim to prevent head injuries should older adults fall by reducing impact severity. journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/20…
