He rode coat tails well but on his own as the leader of the "staff" he failed! 1st year He inherited a loaded group he didn't recruit that gave him a 20 win season. 3 consecutive years he could not even make the MAC tourney with "his guys". He recruited them!

@IE_Diesel @JonRothstein Michael Lewis was on two different staffs that went to final fours at schools who have not been relevant since. Maybe a little more time and a little more respect could be shown in a time where it’s impossible to be a mid major coach. He is old school, but he’s a winner.

@Tyroneshelton @the378014 @SSN_BallState Yes he left because Lewis toxicity and not playing TJ much. Found a home where it is the opposite. BSU needs a positive, inspirational and encouraging leader. We will pay for it!

@indystar The 20 win season was not his team. It was Coach Whit, Coach Botts and coach Grunkemeyer . He inherited good talent and a good team and rode the coattails. When he had to fly solo, he flopped.

@BallStateSports He had resources and ballers. His arrogance,filth and victimhood led to his demise. It took a couple days to recover because being around this guy was like a chemo treatment. WE paid him $571,000 to leave. Very happy for Botts at Miami - he blamed Botts last year on losses.

@IE_Diesel @GoodmanHoops @TheFieldOf68 Ball State is never going to win with their resources. It has little to do with the coach. If you are saying anything else you literally know nothing about the sport. Theses a good chance they eventually get removed from the MAC.

Ball State has fired head coach Michael Lewis, source told @thefieldof68. Lewis was 61-64 in his four seasons as head coach. Ball State is considered a bottom half of the MAC job - per the job rankings I did last month. Need to step up resource-wise to be able to compete with the Miami University’s, UMass, Toledo, Ohio, Akron and Kent State

I am not a jingoist by any stretch of the word. Moreover, my daughter is on the USS Lincoln as we speak. I have skin in this game. I have read (and heard) a lot of BS about whether or not we should be in Iran. Let me be clear... I've been a SME on Iran for 25÷ years. I speak Persian Farsi, Dari, Balochi, and Tajik. I've been to Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, and yes... Iran. There are few who know Iran as "intimately" as I do. The reasons for this war are nuanced and complicated, but one thing is clear as day... the Iranian people (by and large) are good people and they just want to have the same liberty and freedom we have. Their women and girls want to be able to go out into public without having to fear if they'll be arrested and beaten (or even killed) by the "Virtue Police". If you cannot see that, and you cannot support the liberation of a people that have been brutally oppressed for 47+ years... then you have no humanity and you and I are not the same. Our past with Iran is not a good one (Operation Ajax or Iran Contra)... but a vast majority of the Iranians (and Americans) today have no idea why the relationship between our two countries soured in the first place. A vast majority of Iranians have only ever known abject tyranny and Islamic brutally... they love America. I will not debate this with anyone. Either get on team America and support the liberation of a brutalized people... or STFU and continue to wallow in your miserable hypocrisy and enjoy freedom you never had to earn or fight for.
