#VPDNews: Vancouver Police are investigating a collision that resulted in the death of a pedestrian, and are asking witnesses or anyone with dash-cam video to call police. The collision occurred at about 5:15 a.m. on August 31 in the intersection of East Hastings and Commercial Drive. As the pedestrian, a woman in her 30s, was crossing Commercial Drive from the north side, she was struck by the driver of a 2002 Toyota Sienna. Despite life-saving attempts from paramedics, the woman died at the scene. The driver of the Sienna remained at the scene. Anyone who saw the collision, or anyone with dash-cam video, is asked to call VPD's Collision Investigation Unit at 604-717-3012.
