Other viral hurricane narratives have incited direct threats against FEMA, urging militias to confront officials, and accusing FEMA of being an arm of the state of Israel or suggesting that Democrats "control the weather," as posted by US Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene.

False claims about attacks on FEMA representatives have also been used to encourage violence. In one instance, a video from 2023 was used as visuals to accompany a claim that a NC FEMA director was "beaten up." The video generated 8.1M views on X.

Misinformation about FEMA's assistance, low funds due to foreign conflicts, and property seizure spread widely. One post with 870K views on X said, "No, the media is not telling you the truth."
