GUILTY LOOKING OR WHAT? Suspected of depositing eggs of turf eating, BIRD FOOD! Assailant spotted with rear-end embedded in our trial green September 4th. Insecticides need to be out mid to late October to mitigate turf damage next spring! @Turfpigments @greenkeepingire

@OSU_ATI_Turf @J_J_Dempsey @BrilmanLeah @malherbologist There is some potential for perennial rye to contribute to greens surfaces in the future. We have found it to have good density at low HOC when N levels are high. We are also working with multiple bent and fescue varieties which look very promising from sustainable perspective.

Turf industry recruitment crisis: Vacancies remain despite being advertised over and over again. Reduced staffing is putting pressure on already stretched teams. Retention also a huge issue. Talented turfies are leaving the industry to take jobs elsewhere. What needs addressing?
