For super obvious reasons, I've created stub accounts elsewhere, as listed in my profile: @ITregillis@mastodon.social @ITregillis@counter.social Did this a few days ago but haven't leaned into them yet.

@austintichenor Me, too! I'm not saying Sara owed me a trip to Malibu this January after multiple trips to Chicago last January/February, but I'm also not not saying that.

@JimKakalios I really thought "GibbsFreeEnergyPunk" was going to be the next big publishing trend. How wrong I was.

@ITregillis I don't think you've ever even used the word "steam." You're always referring to the hot vapor coming off water when it's 100° C - which admittedly, get's tired after a while. You have called many us as "punks" however.

Recommend me a great historical mystery/thriller book. I checked out a site that recommended 30, read one of their top picks and was left underwhelmed. Started another and, two chapters in, a Japanese character utters an exasperated "Aiyaa", leading me to give up on it as well.

@GnomonChronicl1 Not really sure. To the best of my knowledge he spent lots of time in Ely and Hoyt Lakes. Both my folks were from the Iron Range.

@BP_Gregory I mean, look. I know writers who use subtext. They're all cowards.
