One of the first companies I created did over $25M in its first year with a team of 3-5 people. Another project with 3 developers generated 9 figures in less than 12 months. I’ve had multiple projects hit 6-figure MRR with only a handful of people, or even solo. All low overhead, high margin, and highly profitable. I’ve also had companies with 25+ people, a 6-figure monthly payroll, and enough overhead to run at a loss until they eventually dissolved. That taught me something. Never feel smaller, or less of an entrepreneur, just because your business doesn’t have a large headcount. I fooled myself into thinking a big team was what defined a successful business. It doesn’t. What matters is how much profit the business produces, how much stress it creates, and whether the business can last. If you can achieve that with a big team, more power to you. But if the manpower isn’t required, sometimes the “team” is just ego disguised as growth.⚔️
