I invited 200 guests to my 10th wedding anniversary just to play a video of my wife sleeping with her gym instructor on screen — Man narrates pathetic story 👇🏻 “My wife, Tolu, is currently rolling on the floor of the Event Hall in Ikeja, crying and begging. Her mother has fainted. Her pastor is pretending to be on a phone call. But I am sitting in my G-Wagon, drinking a cold bottle of water, feeling lighter than air. For the past ten years, I was the “Mugu.” The ATM. The foolísh husband. I work on an Oil Rig. I spend two weeks at sea, two weeks at home. I sent Tolu millions to start businesses that always “failèd.” I built a house in her father’s village. I bought her a Range Rover for her last birthday. We have three beautiful children. Or so I thought Six months ago, our last born, Davidson, fell sick. He needed blood. I rushed to the hospital, rolling up my sleeves, ready to donate. The Doctor, who is my old secondary school classmate, pulll invited 200 classmate, pulled me into his office. He looked uncomfortable. “Bro, your blood type is O Negative,” he said. “Tolu is O Positive. The boy is AB Positive.” I laughed. What does that mean? Biology was not my best subject.” He didn’t laugh. “It means, biologically, it is impossible for you to be the father.”My world stopped. I told him to run a DNA test on all three kids. I waited for two weeks. Those two weeks were hell. I looked at Tolu sleeping beside me, snoring peacefully, and I wanted to strangle her. But I kept quiet. The results came back. Child 1 (Junior): 0% Probability of Paternity. Child 2 (Sandra): 0% Probability of Paternity. Child 3 (Davidson): 0% Probability of Paternity. I had been training another man’s platoon for 10 years. I didn’t scream. I didn’t fight. I didn’t even ask her. Instead, I told her, “Baby, for our 10th Anniversary, I want to give you the wedding of your dreams. A Vow Renewal.” story by jerry smith. She screamed in excitement. She called all her friends. She bought Aso-ebi for her family. She booked the most expensive makeup artist in Lagos.paid for everything. I hired the biggest hall. I invited her entire village, her church members, her “Gym Instructor” (who I found out was the father of the second child), and my colleagues. Today was the D-Day The hall was packed. The MC announced, “And now, a special video tribute from the husband to his lovely wife!” Tolu was sitting on the high table, smiling like a queen, waving at the crowd. The lights went dim. The projector screen came down. Everyone expected a montage of our romantic photos. Instead, the DNA results appeared on the screen. Huge, bold letters. PROBABILITY OF PATERNITY: 0%. The crowd went silent. You could hear a pin drop. Then, the next slide played. It was a video I had paid a private investigator to record. It showed Tolu entering a hotel room with her gym instructor. It showed them kissing. The chaos that followed was beautiful. Tolu screamed and tried to run to the projector, but she tripped on her expensive gown. Her father stood up and held his chest. I simply walked up to the microphone. “The house has been sold,” I said calmly. “The cars have been retrieved. The divorce papers are on the table. Tolu, you can go home with your gym instructor. He is the father of your children.” I dropped the mic and walked out. As I drive to the airport now to catch my flight to the Maldives for a solo vacation, my phone is blowing up. Some people are saying I was too cruel. They say I should have covered her shame for the sake of the children. They say I am heartless to disgrace a woman publicly like that. But I feel peace. Did I go too far? Or did she deserve the public humiliation?”

Gallant Soldier! No oil bloc. No oil well. No mansion. No estates. No private jet. No private company. No private university. No private library. No foreign accounts. No foreign residence. Among the ruling class, only PMB carried this rare and unbroken record. He rose above the pull of material possessions — in life and in leadership. A man who proved that integrity is greater than wealth, and honour stronger than luxury. #GMB… May your soul continue to rest in perfect peace.

This recent investigation by the BBC Global Disinformation Unit has exposed the IPOB’s Intersociety’s role in amplifying unverified ‘Christian Genocide’ claims in Nigeria. The investigation revealed how the Intersociety and allied Igbo ethnic advocacy groups propagated inflated figures and unverified narratives that have reverberated across international political and religious circles. The report, titled “Are Christians Being Persecuted in Nigeria as Trump Claims?” scrutinises the origins and credibility of claims that over 125,000 Christians have been killed and 19,000 churches destroyed in Nigeria since 2009—figures widely cited by U.S. conservative media and politicians, including Senator @TedCruz, Congressman @RepRileyMoore and others. When contacted by the BBC, Intersociety failed to provide itemised data or verifiable sources to substantiate its casualty claims. Instead, the organisation accused the BBC of being politically compromised. The BBC’s findings suggest that Intersociety’s methodology lacks transparency and raises serious concerns about the intent behind its reporting. Despite the absence of credible evidence, these claims gained traction in U.S. political discourse, culminating in President Donald Trump labelling Nigeria a “country of particular concern” and threatening military action over what he described as a “Christian genocide.” Intersociety and similar groups have consistently framed violence in Nigeria as targeted jihadist attacks against Christians, often attributing blame to Fulani herders and Islamist militants. However, independent conflict monitoring organisations such as the Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project (ACLED) report that violence in Nigeria is multifaceted, affecting communities across religious and ethnic lines without clear evidence of a systematic campaign against Christians alone. The BBC notes that many of these advocacy groups are rooted in southeastern Nigeria, where ethnic and religious identity politics are deeply intertwined. Their narratives often reflect broader grievances about political marginalisation and perceived federal neglect, particularly among the Igbo population. While Intersociety presents itself as a non-profit, non-government-funded organisation, its advocacy has centred mainly on Igbo Christian interests. It has also been a vocal supporter of Nnamdi Kanu and the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), framing government actions against the separatist group as religious and ethnic persecution. The BBC’s investigation underscores the dangers of politicised and unverified data in conflict reporting. By framing complex intercommunal violence as a one-sided genocide, advocacy groups risk inflaming tensions, distorting international perceptions, and undermining efforts at reconciliation and peacebuilding.

Donald Trump says thousands of Christians are being killed in Nigeria by Islamist militants - where has he got the numbers from? The BBC has found that some of the data being relied on to come to this conclusion are difficult to verify. bbc.in/3Xb8jvU

Dear President Trump @realDonaldTrump , I am a lawyer of more than three decades of active practice, most of which was dedicated to activism in promotion and protection of human rights. In 2017, right there in Washington, I was found worthy to be awarded the Global Human Rights Award by the United States Global Leadership Council, which had the eminent Dr. Reuben Egolf as its Chairman at the time. This was in recognition of my work over the years in the promotion of the rights of the downtrodden people. I was also born and raised as a Christian in Nigeria. There is, therefore, a need for me to add my little voice to the issue that has agitated your mind lately (with the hope it would be heard, even as a whimper): the purported ‘mass killings’ of Christians in Nigeria. I was appointed by the present President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as his Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, along with other Christians. Because of my strong Christian background and ethical pedigree, it would have been most unconscionable for me to associate with - let alone accept to serve or continue to serve - a government if truly there is any scintilla of truth in the assertion that Christians are SPECIFICALLY targeted in Nigeria for persecution, killings or harassment ON ACCOUNT OF THEIR FAITH. It is simply not true. Just like the U.S and many countries in the world, we have faced our own fair share of societal violence; ours has been perpetrated by deadly groups known as Boko Haram (now seriously decimated), herdsmen, and cattle rustlers. These decades-old problems were inherited by our President who has made great progress in the fight against these insurgents. In fact, most of the security Chiefs appointed by him are Christians, so it would be unthinkable to imagine them being complicit in the killing of fellow Christians in Nigeria. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Nigeria, though a Muslim, is a known ‘moderate’, whose wife is a Pastor of one of the biggest Pentecostal Churches in Nigeria and most of his children are practising Christians. When he was Governor of Lagos State, he regularly invited Christian Pastors for prayers and worship sessions at the Government House. He will be the last person to either adopt the killing of Christians as a State Policy, or condone such acts or be complicit in them. Nigeria is a secular State and our Constitution explicitly provides for freedom of religion and prohibits the adoption of a State religion, reflecting its status as a multi-faith nation. This legal framework underpins the country's diverse religious landscape, which includes significant populations of Muslims, Christians, and adherents of traditional African religions, coexisting within a nation’s space. In all honesty, the insecurity in some parts of the country over the years has impacted adherents of all religions and this government has not sought to protect one set of adherents and ignore the others. Ordinarily, opposition politicians will oppose the government of the day. But on this matter, President Trump, you would have observed that leaders of the opposition parties in Nigeria are united on one point: there is no TARGETED killing of Christians in Nigeria. President Trump, the Nigerian people ask for deep and sincere understanding from your government at this point; the Nigerian people ask for support and cooperation from your government at this point to confront this decades-old menace of terrorism; we ask for collaboration; we ask for frank and open dialogue at this time with your government; we ask that you broaden your sources of information at this time so as to get a balanced view of the happenings in Nigeria. Thank you. God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria and God bless the United States of America. ——- Festus Keyamo (Senior Advocate of Nigeria & Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators of the United Kingdom) Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Federal Republic of Nigeria

It honestly surprises me to see the number of people in the comments agreeing with this guy @MikeArnoldTruth. When are we going to tell these external distractors that enough is enough with this constant religious incitement and hate-mongering? Can they just let Nigeria breathe and move on to something else elsewhere?

That suggestion isn’t the solution. In fact, limiting leaders to just one five-year term might backfire, it could encourage corruption, giving those in power more time and less accountability to inflate budgets and steal without fear. The real fight should be to strengthen institutions and ensure our laws have the backing they deserve but not to restrict leaders’ terms arbitrarily. The problem isn’t how long a leader stays in office, but weak institutions that lack independence from political influence. Five years without checks and balances can actually increase corruption, not reduce it. The argument that fear of reelection distracts leaders from development is flawed. In a well-functioning democracy, the prospect of reelection motivates leaders to deliver results and remain accountable to the people. If that pressure doesn’t exist, then the entire system, be it institutions and citizen mindset needs a serious overhaul. True accountability happens when institutions like the judiciary, anti-corruption agencies, and investigative bodies are empowered to operate freely and fairly, without fear or favoritism. Reducing the presidency to one five-year term only hands thieves more uninterrupted time to loot and citizens more years to suffer. A leader who must face the electorate again has a reason to keep citizens satisfied and governance transparent. Instead of changing term limits, the focus should be on depoliticizing key appointments and strengthening institutional independence. Maybe the real campaign should be against political appointments of key positions to let competent professionals, not politicians, run the institutions that safeguard our democracy.
