A real incident. On the 23rd, around 12 PM, I went to my polling booth to cast my vote. At the entrance of the school, a police officer who was standing there saw me and greeted me, saying, “Hello Santhosh, long time no see.” I replied, “Yes sir, I was busy with election work, that’s why I couldn’t come this side for the past two months.” Immediately, he told me, “You’ve already won. Go cast your vote and come back.” Hearing that made me feel confident and happy. I went inside, cast my vote, and came out. After that, I noticed several people standing around and talking. I went back to the same officer and asked, “Sir, what is happening here?” He simply replied in one line: “In Tamil Nadu, government officials have already decided who should rule this time. And the people have also made their decision accordingly. So don’t worry about anything. This time, the rule is yours. Congratulations.” After that, I came out and spoke with my booth in-charge. He said, “We have been going to every house daily without fail to gather votes. One important thing is happening DMK’s family votes are splitting towards TVK. From AIADMK, not even one or two votes are splitting. The impact is only on DMK.” He even showed me an example. Then, both of us took my car and were driving. On the way, we saw a DMK councillor from our area standing by the roadside, casually eating groundnuts. At that moment itself, I understood DMK is going to lose badly this time. Because during elections, instead of being active like how Kalaignar TV used to run energetic programs, they were standing relaxed and eating groundnuts. So, TVK தற்குறிஸ் don’t celebrate too much. Ground reality is becoming clearer 👇 TVK is definitely pulling a noticeable share of votes across constituencies. But turning that into seats? Highly unlikely. At best, maybe the party chief has a slim chance and even that feels like a long shot. Across 231 constituencies, TVK is likely to end up in 2nd or 3rd place, securing around 10% vote share without meaningful victories. Right now, TVK looks less like a winning force and more like a vote-splitting factor that could influence final outcomes. Also worth noting a “leader” who didn’t even mention candidate names during campaign speeches.
