Britain, and the world, are facing climate and nature crises. The ways in which we tackle them should always be up for debate and challenge. But stepping back from a united goal of taking climate change seriously is a big step backwards for the Conservatives and our country.

On this sad day @AngelaRayner I will always remember and thank you for your wonderful and kind tribute to my dear friend Judi Billing. I know how much it was appreciated by @zoefolbigg and all Judi's family. I do hope we will see you back in Government very soon. My best wishes.

Our Football Governance Act puts fans first. It’s for supporters in Macclesfield, Wigan, Bury, Bolton, Derby, Reading, Sheffield Wednesday, Morecambe - and every club where fans were put last when they should’ve come first. Today is their win.

@Ian_Albert @BroxbourneBC How bizarre, Ian. The @hertscc website doesn’t have the same issue. Still blue, with no plans to change that.

Given the backlogs in magistrates’ courts, this is really quite something! How many more sea people are still to appear? How many more on top of that have not been charged for offences they have committed? Frightening stuff…

@aja_curtis Well the Shekelesh and Lukka terrorised Mediterranean and actually wore horned helmets unlike Vikings who didn't. But you confuse Shekelesh who brought terror to many with those now desperately escaping terror. PS I hear you've left the Tory Party. Is that true? Joining Reform?

@Ian_Albert The Lukka and Shekelesh ‘Sea Peoples’ of the late Bronze Age were not as alien as that. The same is true of the sea people of today, as alien as many of them are. It is unreasonable to equate them to actual aliens though, Ian!

@Ian_Albert We are talking about unwelcome people (mostly men) that emerge from the sea (in small boats), hence the technical term ‘sea people’.

A sensible and pragmatic British solution to the problem posed by random sea people turning up on our shores and causing mischief… Rameses III would be impressed!

Totally agree with @Downhill2ndHalf - really need to hear your view @Dan4Barnet on what has not been the Council’s finest hour! But let's never forget the role of Barnet Conservatives, who were instrumental in making @BarnetFC move from the Borough in the first place.

Wow what a mess @BarnetCouncil @BarryJohnRawlin. Last week you claimed you had suggested “three or four sites” to @BarnetFC as possible alternatives for a new stadium and were “waiting for a response”. Your planning committee voted on that basis on Monday - indeed it formed a big part of the discussions.
