The Lagos State government's approach to waste management is to build consensus with communities. Discussing penalties is putting the cart before the horse. As a government, we need to build LAWMA's capacity to provide adequate bins. In the past year, Lagos State has taken over 1,000 persons to court for open defecation and other environmental infractions. We have 1,710 state-owned public toilets across Lagos State and about 8,000 adding eateries and fuel stations.

Clarification on Asham Train Incident: message from @info_NRC
2: It has been observed that some media reports have described the incident that occurred earlier today along the Asham axis as a derailment. The Nigerian Railway Corporation wishes to clarify that the incident was not a derailment.
3: In a derailment situation, the wheels of the train leave the track, making it impossible for the train to continue its journey. However, in this case, the train remained on the track and was able to proceed to Idu Station, where passengers safely disembarked.

If Okowa wins senate 2027 he is likely going to be SP he is a mix of SE and SS since he is Anioma so to me he has upper hand .. Magnus Abe also has a big chance if he replaces the late Barry Mpigi in senate .. It would be a big miracle for Akpabio to return as senate president… Uzodinma might also run for senate … Oshiomole has his eyes on SP.

Alright Dr let me clarify more please. The Lagos state government 2026 budget is realistic in-fact personally I believe it should be bigger than 4tr.
The basic point their submission highlighted was cost of running government is exuberantly high while developmental project are not the main priority and the reason is obviously because most of Lagos mega projects are carried out by the federal government.
Additionally Lagos state has more advantage of access to financing because of federal government prioritization.

Sorry, Honourable Commissioner. I am still struggling to understand your concerns. Are you worried that the budget is unrealistic because the proposed revenue and planned borrowing will not fund the budget and that Capital expenditure will suffer? If so, why do you not want to look at previous 81% budget performance. If a budget is N100 with Capital at N52 and Recurrent at N48, there is no way that even 100% recurrent performance will give you 81% total budget performance. Or am I missing something? Also, have you factored in further borrowing?
