Asked Cam Neely if he thinks they need more star power and high-end talent. “Clearly.” Asked if he has the patience for the potential long road of that (drafting) over trades. Seemed to indicate all options are on table.

@_TyAnderson Think you have to shoot for the guys with potential that haven’t been good fits / teams could be looking to move. The Shane Wrights, Simon Nemec, Kent Johnson types. IMO Robertson, Thomas and the like are nothing short of pipe dreams.

Just think it's glaring. You watch other playoff teams still playing, or even ones eliminated, and the star power/high-end talent outmatches the Bruins on almost all of them. It's a dire, dire need. I just don't know how you get it, and I'm not sure they do either. Hard to get.

@kayasunerr @_TyAnderson IDK about that. For the past at least 2 years they've preached the need to get bigger, which was not what they needed. Now they have a 6 game sample size that indicates how badly they need to be more talented and faster.

Bruins gotta package some of these 1st rounders and go get someone who can help right now. Got good prospects coming in Letourneau, Zellers, Simpson, Pelosi, and obviously Hagens, amongst others. Go get someone who can help right now. Give up the Leafs & Panthers picks.

Both the Bruins and Celtics shifted a lot of expectations ahead of what was supposed to be either "bridge" or "rebuilding" years.
But sure doesn't feel great when both teams completely stumble in their own building in the playoffs.

BOS made playoffs, developed Minten/Marat, Swayman returned to form, key prospects (Hagens, also Letourneau) improved & held draft capital. Came up short some other areas— integrating prospects, using UFAs as rentals, emphasizing low-ceiling types. Lot of work to do. #NHLBruins

@j_bertho @BruinsNetwork Saying Kuraly was usually a net negative on the ice indicates to me you did not watch a lot of the games this year which tells me all I need to know. Plus if they had played Locmelis in his place you’d have complained about him playing on the 4th line. Thank you for your time.

@51pxDOZER @EvanMarinofsky They will. People can dump on Sweeney all they want but his eyes are attached to his brain. The prerogative from the top is to win, whether that’s right or wrong rn. He knows this lineup needs significant improvements to make a deep run. Should be a busy offseason IMO
