@CenozoicDragons True, if we are trying to give Venus Earth's rotation and tidal characteristics. If we accept some degree of variation from Earth standard then Ceres could work. Putting Ceres on a close orbit for example.

@Idronan93 Ceres is far too small to replicate the influence Luna has on Earth. Io might be too large and Triton might be a little too small, so your best bet would probably be Europa, but any of those three would be better than Ceres at giving Venus a normal rotation and tidal influence.

I was gonna say how you probably couldnt have polar glaciers on Venus, but if you're cleaning its atmosphere, speeding up its rotation, giving it one of Saturn/Jupiter's moons, and hitting it with enough comets to cover 71% of its surface in water then solar mirrors seem doable

The curse of being the smart child is that you are genetically coded to be your family's unpaid crisis manager—and the world's. A massive 2024 population registry study published in The Economic Journal proved that higher general fluid intelligence directly causes increased altruism, cooperation, and prosocial behavior. Because an intelligent brain calculates long-term consequences and systemic risks faster than everyone else around it, it sees the family or societal trainwreck coming miles away. It means you are either a psychological hostage to your own foresight, or a reluctant savior trying to fix a world that doesn't even see the cliff it’s walking over.

@CenozoicDragons The silver lining is you could work your way into the techno-aristocracy by having self-control and a modicum of critical thinking!

A few points everyone of you has got to understand: Our supposedly far right opinions professed here are far more common among the younger general male population that you can imagine. Most people don’t externalize their political views. The right-wing influencers you see here are not future leaders. The great men of our time are yet to be revealed. Those who say “since there wasn’t a revolt during COVID lockdowns I know there won’t ever be a revolution again in America” have no idea what they are speaking about. These people have no idea why revolutions and civil wars happen. Of the reasons I doxxed myself is because I realized that there will eventually be a hyper masculine counter reaction to the ostracism perpetrated by the left in which violent acts will be seen as trivial. Women will be disenfranchised from politics and there is nothing any simp will be able to do about it. What do you think will happen after tens of millions of men grew up under and were victims in early adulthood of female anti-social behavior. After the boomers are gone the mainstream Republican politicians will no other option except to fold to far right demands because the pressure from angry men will be far greater than the pressure from the deep state. Trump’s movement is the only peaceful resolution for America because it will allow for the demands of the grassroots right to be catered to without the need of a revolution or civil war. Women are devoid of self-awareness. Self-awareness is the capacity to perceive yourself under an objective parameter in the third person, in other words, truly understand concepts and notions of morality. The left is feminine in the cognition of its members. This is why they cannot perceive themselves to be wrong. However, this is partially the reason why they have won so much. While right-wingers and conservatives tell the bs of “fix your own life first before trying to fix the nation” leftists understand that politics is a game of power in which how personally accomplished you are is irrelevant to how much you gain politically. While right-wingers act like arrogant obtuse brats who cut contact with others due to small disagreements and inconveniences the left forms unitary groups under the mindset “if you agree with me on those key points you can do no wrong”. Why do you think the left has been the side which moved the Overton Window? The last point is that the left is not a fighting force, which is why they have got to import tens of millions of people to compete politically. Mass deportations are not optional, they are existential.

Christopher Nolan asked the Oracle of Delphi, "Will audiences love my adaptation of the Odyssey?" And the Pythia replied, "They will discuss it non-stop for months before it even premieres." And away he went, glad in this heart, poor fool.

Every Democrat-drawn Congressional map is just going to look like this from now on. The urban machine in states like New York and Illinois is going to be dismantled by Democrats themselves because there’s now a far greater crisis for the party to address than continuing to placate inner-city minority grievance politics. Those urban cores now need to be drawn into giant spaghetti noodles reaching down to envelop the countryside. It’s the only way for Democrats to draw unanimous maps in states like California, Illinois, and New York. This is going to have far reaching effects on both the Democratic Party’s internal coalition and our national politics at large.

Utah is the next Minnesota. Cities like Murray and Midvale will inevitably devolve into Somali-controlled hellscapes like Minneapolis or Mogadishu. This is why Republicans boo candidates like Blake Moore and Spencer Cox at conventions. We’re tired of them selling out our state with smiles on their faces while they tell us they’re fighting to secure our borders and protect our neighborhoods. The only thing 99% of elected Utah Republicans fight for is their portfolio. Meanwhile our cities are overrun with violent, illiterate foreigners that they insist we’re blessed to babysit with our tax dollars. The Utah GOP is nothing more than controlled opposition.

Proud to have the endorsement of Rep. Ilhan Omar, a fearless voice for justice. This campaign is about vision over fear. People over profit. No corporate PACs. No special or corporate interests, just a movement powered by everyday people. When Donald Trump attacks our communities, we do not shrink. We rise. We organize. We serve. When I make it to Congress, I’ll join Rep. Omar in fighting for Medicare for All, ending the stranglehold of corporate money on our democracy, passing universal childcare and paid parental leave, preserving our environment, and so much more. Let’s do this together, Utah, it’s our time to lead. 🇺🇸 @IlhanMN @Team_Ilhan

This is literally a third world taxi scam. In places like Manila, taxi drivers will try and turn off the meter and quote you a "special rate" that is four times what the meter costs. Even if you convince them to use the meter, they'll intentionally take "shortcuts" that go out of the way so they can run up the fare. The easiest way to deal with this is to only get in cabs driven by older men. Young guys are far more likely to try and hustle you, middle-aged guys don't have the energy. Very neat and cool that we now have to use turd world defensive tactics to avoid being scammed in our own country.

Complete breakdown of society. I get into a NYC cab. Newly arrived gentleman with no cabbie license in the license slot asks me if I want to pay ‘the flat rate’ or ‘the hourly rate’. Neither of these of course exist in NYC, it is a metered rate. I express firmly that I am a New Yorker and know about metered rates and to please turn on the meter. But I have no reason to believe this is a licensed driver in his actual own cab. Scary feeling. @nyctaxi

@earthling1914 I'm tired of how retarded and feminine our society has become. What did people think mass deportations would need? Vibes? Essays? Life is a brutal struggle and we'll all have to do some pretty uncomfortable things just to survive.

Please, if you do not live in Ireland, keep sharing posts about the situation on the ground. The Irish Government have deployed the Military to break up protests today, and they might “temporarily” shut down the Internet to stop footage from getting out. It’s getting bad. 🙏
