Today I conducted an oversight inspection in Garankuwa , Ward 30 (KFC area), joined by the Water and Sanitation Business Unit Director, Ms Mokgadi, Councillor Violet, and Garankuwa Complex Manager, Iris. This followed a compliant raised by Councillor Violet regarding a sewerage spillage affecting the area. In response , we immediately mobilise the WSBU team to attend to the matter. A jet truck that was operating in Soshanguve was redirected to the site to unblock the sewer system. The spillage had caused environmental pollution and posed a serious health hazard to nearby community members. I am pleased to report that the sewer system had now been successfully unblocked , restoring normal flow and reducing the risk to the community @CityTshwane @nasiphim
