Some days I just sigh at compiler output. For example, GCC here decided that it liked computing `w4 & w1` so much that it computed it twice, and then similarly decided to compute `w0 & w4` twice.

@atlanticesque What's funny is that Imperial has much higher standards than Oxbridge - as my tutor told me, a first in Mech Eng from Imperial is worth more than a knighthood - but I and all my friends were there as Oxbridge rejects (I failed MechEng, lest anyone thinks I'm boasting).

Americans may say they’re familiar with this phenomenon, but there’s really no comparison. Going to the University of Wisconsin or whatever is fine, you have good opportunity.
