FriYAY mood: SamShine, retired, relaxed, and rocking the floof! I understood the assignment! In the yard, tail wagging like a victory flag—no missions, no stress, just sunshine and the simple joy of being a dog again! Every swish says it all: job well done. Now it’s time to just be happy. Best! Day! Ever! Video: Sampson in the yard enjoying the sunshine, wagging his tail. Mom calls him over and tells him he is a good boi! Sam looks happy and content. She asks if he’s a happy boy and responds YES!

Mom completely missed St. Patty’s Day so I hijacked Mom’s phone so the Irish Wolfhound Muppets could say “Top o' the mornin' to ya!”

Sunday rule: wake up, stretch, sniff the air, and do absolutely nothing important. Humans call it “lazy.” I call it professional relaxation.

@mcuban @jamestalarico Absolutely on target @mcuban All age brackets are craving the endorphins that come from hope and positivity. Political fatigue is best cured with this type of messaging. Never underestimate the power of that #impact

Apparently @jamestalarico won with a huge turnout from young adults. Want to know why? Here is my guess: On social media, the algorithms give you more of what you consume. Talarico’s messages are positive. To the point of being “syrupy”. Voters that committed to watching his social posts, got more of not only his posts, but also other positive messages. Contrast that with historically negative messaging across past elections, and I think the contrast was striking and motivational for many. Enough to draw record numbers to a primary. It may be crazy to some, but the idea of “my feed and FYP got better the more I watched his videos” is enough to get voters excited to support and vote for him. Call it “PositivityMaxxing” 😂. But I truly believe that candidates that can give positive messages, authentically and confidently , can be part of a new successful trend. Regardless of party or office. Thoughts ?

Throwback Thursday! Mom says it seems impossible this was 5 years ago! Life moves quickly — sometimes faster than we realize. But the small moments, the quiet pauses, the unexpected laughs… those are the pieces that stay with us. These moments become the memories we hold onto the longest. Video: Sampson a fluffy white golden retriever is playing with his Mr. B (a blue stuffed octopus toy) in a field of green grass. He is running and rolling in the grass while soft guitar music plays.

Mom here: Advocating for inclusion at the mic… while my best assistant naps on the job Yesterday I shared an oral comment with the National Institutes of Health about why service dog inclusion in laboratory settings matters — and why it’s time to amend Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and NIH guidelines to reflect that. Meanwhile, behind me: one very good service dog, casually snoozing on an ottoman like this is just another Thursday. Calm. Trained. Unbothered.
Exactly the point. Inclusion isn’t hypothetical — it’s practical, professional, and already working. The Legislative Director for @RepCiscomani and the Environmental Health and Safety Director for the @citiprogram also made comments in support of the amendment and the importance of risk based assessments for inclusion. #ServiceDogInclusion #AccessibilityMatters

We are joining the @NIH listening session today as part of their policy modernization to discuss service dogs in science to give our oral comments, in under allowed 4 minutes, regarding the need for policy clarification, guidance, and amendment. The Legislative Director for Congressmen @RepCiscomani will be joining as well to give an oral comment in support. It has been 3 years since we started this conversation with the @CDCgov and @NIH to amend ONE sentence that has been weaponized against service dog handlers in science. It is time for this change.

Everyone says I’m a golden ray of Samshine… but what they don’t know is that my snowy grays are cleverly tucked beneath my golden fibers of love. Oh yes… they’re there. Wisdom sparkles. Distinguished fluff. Limited edition snow threads. But only the sunshine can truly see them — and when it does, they shimmer like secrets woven into my fur. A little frost. A lot of love. 100% good boi - mostly.

Mom here: Some moments make you reach for your camera — not because they’re extraordinary, but because you can feel how fleeting they are. There’s a quiet tension between capturing a moment and fully living it. A photo can hold the image still, but presence is what lets it sink into your bones. Today I’m reminding myself: take the picture… then put the phone down. Sit a little longer. Notice the way the light falls, the steady breathing beside you, the small ordinary magic of just being there. Some memories are meant for the camera. The most important ones are meant for the heart.
