When I was a kid, I used to get bullied at bus stops and schooling grounds. Rough neighborhood. Trailer park. Unlike many wimpy parents, my father said, "if someone hits you, hit them back harder so they never do it again." He sent me to martial arts school, age 6, every day.

@scottmelker Just curious, and by no means am I starting a flame contest, but does that tweet extend to POS cryptos as well? Recent @PrestonPysh interviews with @saylor on BTC ESG and POW vs POS with @JasonPLowery have really begun to reframe my understanding and thinking.

@colapsehoy @thetrocro @soloyopee In our case, Bitcoin was a seamless solution. Additionally, I'm and expat living overseas, and my accounts regularly get placed on hold, and I have to call the USA at 1130pm to rectify it. Bitcoin has no such issues.

Bitcoin is being asked to prove it will neither increase CO2 nor crowd out other energy users or face some kind of government intervention. Imagine asking that of literally ANY other technological innovation of the 20th and 21st century at its inception. All would fail the test

@colapsehoy @thetrocro @soloyopee I'm no expert, and maybe this is an insignificant use case. A close friend of mine from a poor country was in desperate need of a modest amount of cash to support his family. In previous years when I tried to send him a small amount of cash, there was huge regulatory friction.

4) All of this came too late for San Francisco, which is over as a tech capital. SF’s political class turned billions of dollars into fentanyl & feces. The resource curse, but for technology. We just need to document the ruins for posterity, then build better cities elsewhere.

@orangedmike Your Bitcoin node also has a blacklist. Your Bitcoin node can also not validate SegWit or Taproot transactions. The miners can refuse to include certain types of transactions or txs coming from certain addresses. Censorship is part of the design.

@MMCrypto Thailand? I've never heard it mentioned here, but I live in Chiang Mai - maybe when the tourists come they will request crypto payments. My guess is the adoption must be coming from BKK, and thats encouraging. That said, IMHO Thais are slow to adopt new technologies.
