@Jebadoo2 That is not quite so. He was sentenced to life imprisonment with provisio that he will serve a minimum of 52 years before he can be considered for parole.

Rudakubana sentenced for 52 years in prison Mr Justice Goose said: “He will serve almost the whole of his life in custody. I consider it likely he will never be released and he will be in custody for all of his life.” Good. About as high as the Judge could go here.
