Tuesday nights I help my human teach a group class for dogs and their humans. Last night we brought along my chaotic baby moose brother and GUESS WHAT????? He did NOT totally embarrass me in front of the other dogs. In fact, I'd say he did pretty well. He did weaves past other dogs, approaching other dogs and handlers and sitting six feet away without engaging, and even held his down and did a recall in a room with strange dogs and humans. That's a lot for a young guy. And he flashed a silly goofy grin at anybody that looked at him. 😁 There's still hope for him to turn into something other than a chaotic Yak with big feet! I'm a little bit proud of him. But don't tell him. His ego is already bigger than his giant Paws can hold. 🐾 #MoosePuppy #KenjiChaos

Because too often, victim-survivors are forced to sit there and listen to excuses. Letters praising the very person who harmed them. As if being a "good bloke" cancels out the violence you perpetrate. It doesn't. And it won't anymore. Our justice system should never retraumatise victims to protect the image of offenders. We'll always stand with victims of crime and make it clear: violence has consequences and your safety comes first.
