Today marks the final day of our New Students’ Induction and Orientation Week. Yesterday, our Principal, @IngabireDom, engaged with students on the importance of the right attitude as a key to success for TVET graduates. She also emphasized values and taboos (Indangagaciro na Kirazira) at Karongi College, urging students to be disciplined, uphold integrity, collaborate, work hard, and lead in their careers. Students also attended sessions on Gender and Social Inclusion in TVET; their role in promoting health and hygiene; financial literacy (savings, investment, and self-reliance principles); innovation and entrepreneurship and the college’s successful innovation projects. They also had the opportunity to interact with one of our alumni.

The Mayor of Karongi District, who was the Guest of Honour at our Career Fair Day and the official launch of the Alumni Association, commended Karongi College for hosting this important event. "We sincerely appreciate the initiatives introduced to help graduates gain confidence and find pathways that support them in entering their professions or creating their own jobs. This gives hope and sends a strong message to those still in school that the education they are receiving has purpose and direction. We also commend the efforts made to connect students with the labor market through discussions, exhibitions and partnerships between the school and the private sector. This is crucial in building skills that respond to the needs of our country." #CareerFairDay2025
