It's not @Airbnb vs Hotels, it's Airbnb vs Housing. Their "hosts" take housing units off the housing market, making them available to tourists instead of long-term locals. NYC, by killing Intro 948B, said no to Airbnb, and yes to housing, yet again. x.com/naterotman/sta…

Thank you to the @NYCCouncil for rejecting Intro 948B, a bill that would have taken housing and job opportunities away from New Yorkers. Tenants, homeowners, and workers deserve real solutions on affordability, but converting homes into tourist rentals hurts everyone.

I am proud to stand with union workers and tenants in the fight against Intro 948 & 1107, which will make our city less affordable and displace vulnerable communities. New York’s housing laws are not for sale, no matter how much a wealthy corporation spends.
