On March 21, 2022, Moshchun, a village near Kyiv, was liberated. It marked a crucial turning point in the battle for the capital. It was here, in the forest surrounding this small village, that ordinary Ukrainians made an extraordinary stand. Members of the Territorial Defense - teachers, mechanics, fathers, students - many of whom had never seen combat, held the line against a professional invading army. They fought not because they were prepared, but because there was no one else to stand between their homes and the enemy. They had so little. Aging rifles. Limited ammunition. And no certainty that help would come. And still, they fought. They waited for reinforcements that seemed impossibly far away and held their ground long enough for those reinforcements to arrive - Ukrainian forces who would ultimately help liberate the area and push the invaders back from Kyiv. The stand in Moshchun helped save the capital. It helped save a nation. Walking through the forest now, you can still feel it. The air is heavy with memory. And the earth is quiet in a way that feels deliberate. It is as if the forest itself is holding its breath - caught between a sigh of relief and a sob. Beneath that silence lies the story of men who stood when standing seemed futile, who fought with almost nothing, and who bought time with courage. Their final stand was a choice. And because of that choice, Kyiv still stands.

According to Pink Scarves Belarus, released political prisoners face strict controls. They can't use bank cards or SIM cards. Even minor violations can mean re-imprisonment. Some may be detained during holidays. Many, even inside the country, were released without passports.

In an interview with CNBC, Armin Papperger, CEO of German defense company @RheinmetallAG, warned that air defense interceptor stockpiles in the U.S., Europe, and the Middle East are now “empty or almost empty” after intense usage in recent conflicts, particularly the war with Iran. The core problem lies in the economics of modern warfare, a point pro-Ukraine voices have been shouting from the rooftops for years: cheap, mass-produced drones are forcing militaries to expend large numbers of expensive interceptor missiles, quickly depleting inventories that were never designed for sustained high-volume use. Papperger cautioned that if the current pace continues, Western allies could effectively run out of anti-aircraft missiles within weeks, exposing a critical vulnerability and underscoring how drone warfare is outpacing both production capacity and traditional defense planning. cnbc.com/video/2026/03/… UnderFire.News

Hi! Missile Defense System expert here. There are two US missile defense systems in Romania and Poland coupled with an advanced radar system in Turkey. Additionally, there are forward based US destroyers in Spain. This is all meant to support the defense of Europe from a rogue nation ballistic missile attack. It’s also called Operation Atlantic Sentry. It is a U.S. European Command (USEUCOM) with a NATO mission primarily focused on Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD). Its specific role involves the operation and integration of advanced radar and interceptor systems to protect the alliance from ballistic missile threats. Hope this helps @piersmorgan

So not only has Iran brazenly lied about its ballistic missile range capacity, but this means it can probably hit the UK with them - and we have zero, I repeat ZERO, defence against these missiles. Very worrying.

Der dümmste "Diplomat" aller Zeiten. 10.

I spoke with some of the political prisoners freed thanks to the remarkable work of @johnpcoale and the U.S. Administration. They are so relieved to be out of that hell — exhausted, but not broken. 235 remained in Belarus. 12 are in Lithuania, and 3 have arrived in Poland. Our teams, together with partners @LithuaniaMFA, @PolandMFA, @viasna96, @freedomhouse, and others, are providing immediate support — shelter, documents, medical care, and basic needs.

Fiona Hill interview in Die Zeit. “We are in the midst of this catastrophe. When I said in 2022 that we were already experiencing World War III, I didn't mean a war with fixed blocs, like we experienced in World War II. Today, the world is interconnected through multinational corporations, global interests, and security guarantees. We are a world at war. This changes everything: security, the economy, alliances, technology, climate. All these problems have been swept under the rug for a long time. Now they are out in the open, and we can begin to fix them. The public must take responsibility.”

Ivan Stefurak, my husband’s brother, was killed defending Ukrainе at the front. An incredibly bright person. A combat-proven and very talented heavy bomber drone operator in the 67th Brigade. Callsign “Babay.” He was 26. The last time we saw him was at the farewell for their brother Orest Bilinchuk-Portyak. It is hard to believe that neither of them is with us anymore. My deepest condolences to his parents, his sister, and his beloved. Eternal glory and remembrance. Honor 🇺🇦

Another deliberate act of Russian terror: on the night of March 22, Russia struck rescuers in Sumy, damaging a fire truck. Emergency Service personnel were conducting inspection of the area after a previous Russian strike. As they were preparing to return to their unit, Russia hit again near the fire tanker. The crew reacted in time and moved to a safe location. Russia has once again targeted those who save lives. This evil must not go unpunished. International pressure on Russia must increase to force the aggressor toward a just peace.

This is how rTeal spy work happens. Not fast or flashy, but months of quiet surveillance, insider sources, and tracking patterns of life until nothing is left to chance. By the time action happens, the intel picture is already complete. #Espionage #CIA #Intelligence israelhayom.com/2026/01/04/us-…

All Belarusian people appreciate the role of @johnpcoale in securing the release of innocent people. We know how difficult it is to deal with regimes like Belarus. Ignore the insults — stones aren’t thrown at empty trees. What matters is results: after 5+ years, 250 people are finally reunited with their families, children, and loved ones. Deep appreciation for your humanitarian mission. @greta #Belarus #PoliticalPrisoners #HumanRights #Freedom #Diplomacy

Incredible story. I will put the link to full article in the comments, it's worth reading. "I survived 471 days in an underground bunker fighting for Ukraine against the Russians." Serhii Tyshchenko spent more than 16 months underground, close to suffocation, under constant Russian bombardment, suffering hunger and extreme thirst - from July 13, 2023 to October 28, 2025. Serhii has five children. He missed their birthdays and other milestones. Serhii Tyshchenko received the Hero of Ukraine award. Glory!

Human rights activists expressed concern over the inclusion of Daria Boyarskaya, former interpreter for Putin, in the OSCE observer mission for Hungary's parliamentary elections. Boyarskaya previously worked at Russia's Foreign Ministry and served as interpreter for Putin during talks with Trump, Obama and US national security adviser John Bolton. In 2021 she headed the Vienna office of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, and in 2025 became adviser to its chair Pia Kauma. Her career rise is linked to support from OSCE PA Secretary General Roberto Montella.

Today, a Russian drone dropped explosives on an architectural landmark in the heart of Kherson, starting a massive fire. While firefighters were at work, they were targeted by Russian FPV drones.
