Insurance can actually make a profit while paying out every single dollar they take in.
They can even pay out more than they take in and make a profit.

What exactly is the point of buying insurance? Obviously, I’m going to pay more money than I get back, because otherwise the insurance company wouldn’t turn a profit. But for some reason everyone does it?

@GWRHelp Missed my 19:23 train from Paddington to Oxford due to delays on the tube. Asked to use my AS on the next train at the ticket office and told no as the status checker showed no delays *in that moment*. It was showing delays 15 minutes earlier when I was on it!!!!!!
