@bryan_johnson Post dmt Bryan is too critical on himself. Fire that thinking. There is no elevation if there is no failures.

I think I need to be fired. I've done 232 dry sauna sessions. Last week I confirmed, for the first time (by swallowing a pill), whether the core temperature threshold that gates the primary cellular repair mechanism was actually being reached in my protocol. The threshold is 102.2°F (39.0°C). For me, that takes 33 min at 195°F. With ice on face and neck, 38min. My standard daily protocol was 20 minutes. That wasn’t enough time to get my core body temp to the heat shock threshold of 102.2°F (39.0°C). Causing me to ask, did I just waste 77 hours and 20 min? It's possible my heat threshold has increased and the heat shock protein release was happening previously, but I doubt it based upon the subjective feeling I now understand as being 102.2F (39.0°C). It’s brutal. For these 232 sessions, I measured the temperature of the air, humidity, duration, frequency, the sweat output, blood biomarkers, vascular response, toxin clearance and fertility markers. There is no human body in history that has been more measured in sauna than mine. Nevertheless, I did not confirm the one number that determines whether the primary mechanism was activating. My goal wasn't to be a sauna bro. It was to saunamaxx. I was doing the former while thinking I was doing the latter. I rest my case. I should probably be fired.

@SawyerMerritt I don’t understand their end goal? They have no large scale, hundreds of thousands capable production warehouses, ready to go. Do they plan on selling their tech to a manufacturer for large scale adoption? Robots need to be made in the millions for impact.

NEWS: Boston Dynamics has just released a new video of its upgraded next-generation humanoid robot called Atlas. • 4 hour battery. Self-swappable for continuous operation • 6 feet 2 inches tall • Weight: 198 lbs • 56 total degrees of freedom • Now fully electric, ditching older hydraulic systems • New lightweight mix of aluminum and titanium components • 110 lbs weight capacity (66 lbs sustained) • Can reach up to 7.5 ft • Constantly evaluates its surroundings and adjusts its posture, balance, and grip in real time • Hands that can reconfigure as needed. Tactile sensors feed data back into the system, helping apply the right amount of force • Brain is powered by Nvidia chips

@DonaldTunp75739 Horribly made video. Even a 3 second hold of one shade or the other would have demonstrated it much better. Here’s a seizure tool you can past on your glass

@alanpinnt I know you didn’t ask me, but I’m around 7 years caffeine sober. Best decision I’ve made. My daily energy never goes up and down depending on when my last dose of caffeine was. The energy is more of a stable and consistent arch now.

@levelsio Have you ever quit caffeine? And if so did you prefer it or no? I ask because of the nescafe. And because I've reduced my consumption to 200mg a day. I think it's helped a lot but I also miss the highly caffeinated code sessions.

If I was broke today I'd instantly fly to South East Asia, book a $8/night hotel room with AC near the beach Eat $1 street food and drink Nescafe Gold all day And build a $10K MRR startup

So a few things: I think the uncomfortable truth is that many of the immigrants that come to Portugal (and rest of Southern Europe) particularly South Asia work really hard, many work harder than Portuguese because they have more at stake Majority of the Uber drivers are South Asian, their cars are generally cleaner and they're much friendlier than the very frustrated, stressed and angry native Portuguese Uber drivers (who are probably angry cause they getting squeezed out of the market by immigrants to be fair) 99% of the South Asians in Portugal I talked to are very honest about their game plan: - Stay in Portugal 5 years then get the passport - They work hard, in farming, factories as Uber driver - Often their wife also works, but they don't register as a couple. Why? Well.... - A large share of them often work illegally (as in unregistered), while registering as unemployed and apply for free welfare benefits which are very easy to get in Portugal, this is 100% welfare fraud - A lot of the money (both work + welfare) is sent back to families in their home countries, some of the money is invested in real estate at home or in places like Dubai - Once they get their Portuguese passport after 5 years, they get instant access to the European Union, can live anywhere and they say they will move to UK or Germany, for better work opportunities (and possibly welfare too) You have to understand one thing, to us this feels like dishonest fraud and it absolutely is but to them they're just hacking the system without considering much about the long term damage One thing I learnt is the South Asians I met were all very friendly to me and they're just trying to get themselves out of poverty, you gotta imagine what you would do in their situ What we have to do in Europe is completely shutdown welfare for new immigrants first 10-20 years or so or at least until you've paid net into the system enough

Everyone obsessed with asking ChatGPT to make studio ghibli photos, but the real magic is when you ask it to swap the people in the photo with look alike actors. It’s HILARIOUS

@BlueTeamJK @wesblog @rand_longevity @unusual_whales I don’t understand why everyone is so short sighted about this. These same people that hate short term quarterly focused corporate greed are the same ones cheer on making short term solutions to “ease” the public from higher prices. Pain is necessary for a long term solution.

Those changes take years. The pain to the US consumer will be felt instantly. This is what people really, really fail to grasp. US leadership has sent the US consumer out to pasture because you're terrifying EVERYONE, while THOSE YOU TARRIF will continue to trade freely. Most of what Canada imports from US are food, alcohol, raw steel, and refined oil products. We don't import anything value-add, because frankly you don't manufacture shit at all. All of that comes from China and SE Asia, and we will continue free trade with them. Meanwhile, our leaders are much smarter, applying tarrifs where they won't hurt our food basket. We're going to hit goods we can easily source elsewhere and those we don't need, like US alcohol. All the alcohol in Canada is bought by the government and they have total control over its purchase, they don't even need to tarrif it. LCBO alone is the largest importer of alcohol on earth, and they're going to take all US alcohol off the shelves - that's going to hit hundreds of millions of dollars directly to red states. *The net effect is across the board prices in US are going to go up far more than they will in Canada. US prices will soon be far higher than anywhere else on earth*. The century of lower than average pricing on which the US consumer has been built, is going to collapse. All of this is assuming the tarrifs are across the board. If the US is not as stupid, and only targets specific areas like dairy, then maybe everyone can climb down from this debacle before it's too late.

"If Donald Trump slaps 25% tariffs on Canadian goods, we must hit back—dollar for dollar—starting with 100% tariffs on all Tesla vehicles and U.S. wine, beer, and spirits," Canada's Chrystia Freeland has said.

As much as I love @OpenAI new o3 mini in concept and all the benchmarks we’ve been seeing - As a normal, non coding and non math user, who just likes asking about cooking and other general things … I can’t really see the progress. I still don’t know if it’s hallucinating or not
