Our government is horrible.
They really want to impose a tax of 36% on unrealized gains. How stupid are they?
If your portfolio grew from €200,000 to €300,000 in a year, and the first €1,800 in gains are exempt from taxing, then you pay (€100,000 - €1,800) * 0.36 = €35,352 in taxes. That is what you have to pay on unrealized gains.
How does one even pay for that? In most cases you would be forced to sell a portion of your portfolio. Shame on everyone single politician in my country that has contributed to this heinous proposal.

The Netherlands is ruining the dreams of me and all its citizens. 36% tax on unrealized gains. Coming 2028. UNREALIZED: without making a single euro, without selling a share. The portfolio only went up on paper. You are forced to sell shares to pay taxes. More than 50k citizens petitioned against it. Stock crashes after you paid? Not their problem. This is not an acceptable tax policy. The most talented Dutch investors are already leaving. Should I?

Day 170/365. Me and my daughter made a deal almost a year ago. Post every single day for 365 days. See if we could hit 50,000 followers together. We’re almost there. Wtf. 195 days left and we’re basically already at the number that was supposed to take the whole year. I showed her a photo of a stadium with 50,000 people in it yesterday. She just stared at it. Properly blew her mind. So I’m extending the goal. 75,000. Let’s see if that’s even possible… honestly, I don’t know. 50,000 felt unlikely too, until it didn’t. This one’s a bigger gap, and I don’t have a plan for it beyond just doing the work and seeing what happens. If anything I’ve written has ever actually helped you, I want you to know I notice. Not saying that as a line. Every milestone so far happened because someone who didn’t have to share it, did. If you’ve gotten something out of this, that’s the moment to repost it, or send it to the one person who’d actually use it. A short story about Indian scammers who called the cops on themselves:
Earlier this week a follower DM'd me from his personal account complaining that 5.73 BTC ($475K) of his was 'unjustly' frozen at Changelly in Mar 2025.
So I went and plotted the Bitcoin transaction in my compliance tools.
The inflows trace back to illicit sources via social engineering thefts targeting Americans through US exchanges and Bitcoin ATMs.
The broader cluster of high confidence thefts has taken $1M+ from victims since 2025, with several of them elderly.
His story kept changing. It was a loan. No, his boss sent it. No, his boss invested in Bitcoin "during 2014 and 2015" through a friend in the US.
The best part? In Dec 2025 he claims to have filed a police report in India over these frozen funds (3207-P/2025).
In our DMs he shared email screenshots which I queried to surface more data points and map his group out.
I suspect AmanKesar11 is a mule for his boss 'Mr Parveen,' as the 'proof' he sent included bank statements under a different name / location.
While you can message me for help and I'll respect your privacy, at least use common sense and don't contact me with stolen funds.
