Filming and taking photos of attack sites has effectively been criminalized, and the regime has shut down internet access for ordinary people. That means most of the photos and videos you see of “civilians injured” or “pulled from rubble” are not coming from independent civilians, they are produced by regime-controlled channels, curated, approved, and then distributed to the outside world through the limited access the regime itself controls, largely for propaganda purposes. That said, civilians are absolutely being harmed. Even if the numbers are much smaller than what’s being portrayed, every innocent life affected is a real and devastating tragedy, one ultimately caused by a regime that continues to pursue war and terrorism at the expense of its own people.

Disgusting—but not surprising—post by Israel’s official Persian account mocking civilians injured in an airstrike in Iran.

Iranian universities have come under a series of attacks in recent days, raising concerns that academic institutions are becoming a new frontline in the widening war in the Middle East. My latest with comments from @JaninaDill and @DEsfandiary cnn.com/2026/03/31/mid…

We keep hearing new reasons for war with Iran—none convincing. “Free the oppressed” sounds noble, but where does it end? We’ve been told for decades Iran is weeks from a nuke. War should be a last resort, not our first move. A war of choice is not my choice. Liberty must come from within, not by U.S. troops.

For decades, we’ve been hearing the same scare tactics about Iran, yet our intelligence agencies haven’t proved any imminent threat. Meanwhile, billions are wasted on endless wars. If liberty is to come to Iran, it will have to be won by Iranians themselves, not by American intervention. Thanks for having me @edhenry.

Though it is day, the sun cannot be seen in Tehran today because of all the smoke following the US and Israel bombing Tehran's oil refineries. People on the ground describe it as armageddon. History will not forgive Reza Pahlavi, Masih Alinejad, Nazanin Boniadi, and all other "leaders" who tricked Iranians into thinking this war would set them free.

The lie that Iran wants a nuclear weapon has been the Israel’s BS propaganda for literally 30 yrs. Netanyahu, an indicted war criminal, has been claiming this since 1996….Now the Trump admin is spewing the same rubbish to justify a disastrous war w Iran.

While mainstream media downplays Epstein’s numerous links to the Israeli government, more tenuous links to Russia are becoming increasingly conspicuous. @meenakshirv, @rgizbert1 and Drop Site’s Murtaza Hussain take us through the story.

Halliburton filed a lawsuit against Venezuela this December for damages it incurred when it was forced out of the country by Trump's unilateral sanctions Rather than seeking financial restitution from Washington, these vultures targeted Venezuela's government

Trump asks a Halliburton Exec. when they left Venezuela. They were forced out in 2019. By Trump's sanctions.

People on the left need to stop relying so much on the concept of "illegal invasions" going against "international law". There is no "international law" under imperialism – and there never has been! The US has always acted unilaterally to assert its interests, from the Monroe Doctrine to the present day. The very idea of a lawfully-governed "international community" was only over meant to be window dressing for US world hegemony. Making "international law" the thrust of your critique sows illusions in the idea of a harmonious and rational capitalist world order, where imperialism can be defanged by diplomacy and UN discussions. It also means you restrict yourself to the same language and outlook as Starmer, and the rest of the liberal establishment. That can never be a good thing. We oppose the invasion of Venezuela not on the basis of legal abstractions, but from a class point of view. Because it infringes the elementary democratic rights of an oppressed and exploited nation. Because it will mean the parasitic carving up of its resource-rich economy, to enrich the US oligarchy. Because it will plunge into misery the workers and poor who were uplifted by the Bolivarian Revolution. We oppose imperialism because we want to weaken and overthrow our ruling classes – which, by the way, is especially "illegal" and "against international law".
