I dislike when people say this because the gameplay changes from BO6 to BO7 *are* actually meaningful. They’re a lot of small things that add up to become very important. Whenever I’ve gone back to play BO6, the differences are extremely noticeable. It’s why I want the BO6 maps to be added to BO7. All of the small refinements made to the game would lead to this being the definitive way to play those maps.

This doesn’t only apply to Revelations, but I think we as players need to stop slinging asset reuse as this huge be-all and end-all criticism. I don’t care if a map isn’t 100% unique design and content. I care about the execution and presentation of that content. Revelations as a concept is extremely cool, which is why I like it. I couldn’t care less about “no new wonder weapons” or “reskinned elite enemies” or “ten square feet of new playable area” because the entire point of the map design is to have all of these familiar things imploding into each other, and that in and of itself creates a unique experience.
