Anthropic needs to solve the computer/power problem or they will be the Friendster of the AI era. I just ran a semi-complicated stock screening prompt on all four major AIs: Grok, Gemini, ChatGPT and Claude. The first three returned comparable results. Claude refused to do the work. Not the way to win guys…

@memorynguwi I see. Thanks for clarifying. I think that makes sense for a “volunteer” role as they mostly call it in North America.

@IsaacJonas21 Some pay but its very low. Others just cover your expenses. A few years ago I used to get $100 per meeting. It would corme to $200 per quarter.

Looking at Non-Executive Director fees in South Africa and Zimbabwe, there are differences worth noting. One of the clearest differences is that the South African market pays significantly more for Board Chairs and also for ordinary board members. The most striking observation is the gap between what Board Chairs earn compared to ordinary board members in South Africa. In some cases, the difference is extremely large. In Zimbabwe, the gap between what the Board Chair earns and what ordinary board members earn is much smaller, particularly on sitting fees, although the difference is slightly better on quarterly retainers. This raises an important question about how governance work is valued in different markets. The Zimbabwean market may still be too small or constrained to place a strong financial premium on the responsibilities and risks carried by Non-Executive Directors and Board Chairs. All this information is covered in our 2026 Non-Executive Director Fees Report, together with a complimentary regional report covering South Africa and Botswana. If you are a Board Chair, Company Secretary, HR Executive, or involved in governance and remuneration decisions, these reports are worth looking at. I generally agree with some of issues you raise but the challenge is the children of the rich are also citizens so if you frame your campaign against certain people in the society that might alienate them. I would frame it in a broad base way unless you have done your analysis and seen that your numbers add up. Goodluck

@leepha_bruce @Africansam On the Copperbelt , we have made a decision long ago to submit at Parliament a new set of Zambian Politicians at Manda Hill. For years, our National Assembly discusses petty things. Then kids of rich get appointed into opportunities while kids of nobody's remain praise singers

Am running for Parliament to resolve issues and inspire Zambian kids from poor families like us. For many years, we have been used to fight political battles of others, then only children of the rich get appointed into opportunities, kids of the nobody's become praise singers.

2/ My daddy @rmusasiwa got a scholarship to go do his master in theology in Australia. So I was raised in racist Australia in the 80s where kids used to refuse to jump in the pool with me. I used to her 5mins alone after swimming lessons after white parents complained about me.

This is very interesting. I know in Canada and especially in the province of British Columbia salaries get disclosed on job adverts usually as ranges. I think if an organization believes in equity and transparency disclosure of salary range is a good thing so that everyone who cares to know knows. The disadvantage is the competitors can possibly high ball and put a higher salary and better benefits package to attract more talent. What would you say about this angle ?

While in some countries it is standard practice to include a salary range in job adverts, in Zimbabwe it is still almost taboo. When you speak to HR professionals, you get a range of different explanations. Some organisations say they avoid publishing salaries because their pay may be below market, which could damage their brand. Others argue that disclosing ranges will create internal disharmony once employees start seeing what different roles are paid. Are these valid reasons?

In December, I drove my assistant home after she had had a little too much to drink at our office party. Although nothing had happened, I decided not to mention it to wife, who being a suspicious person, could be very jealous. Later that night, my wife and I were driving home in the car when I spotted a single high-heeled shoe under her seat. When she wasn't looking, I picked up the shoe and tossed it out of the window. Later, as we got out of the car at home, my wife asked, "Honey, have you seen my other shoe?" The life of a husband is so complicated!

The most data-dense week of 2026 starts today. Fed decision. Q1 GDP. Core PCE. Employment Cost Index. Five Magnificent Seven earnings — all in 72 hours. Most analysts will focus on whether companies beat estimates. That's already priced. Here are the 6 signals that aren't: ● ECI sub-components Thursday 8:30am — not the headline ● MSFT Copilot seat conversion — not Azure % ● AMZN AWS off a very low bar — expectations reset ● META capex ceiling precision — $115B vs $135B matters ● AAPL China segment — least modelled, most risk ● BOJ + USD/JPY — the carry-trade wildcard nobody is watching I also ran 10,000 Monte Carlo simulations on the week's S&P 500 outcomes. The base case is flat. But the downside tail (-4.66% in the worst 5%) is twice the size of the upside cap (+2.56% in the best 5%). The market is offering more risk than reward to be fully invested right now. You can use this tool to check the quality of your resume. Anyone who can push their score above 75% has a very high chance of being shortlisted for the right job. I tested it on more than 30 randomly selected resumes, and 26 scored below 60%. In my experience helping clients hire the right people, the resume is where most job seekers fail. I hired a general hand to do some manual landscaping tasks on a property I own. We agreed on a price. I left. When I came back to check on progress, I realised that he wasn’t doing the work himself. Instead, he hired two guys to do the work for him, so I paid him to hire some guys that he then paid. Akaisa zino, as they say. I feel uncomfortable with what he did. I feel it’s not right. Anyway, I later got the contacts of the two guys who did the actual work. Going forward I will just give them the assignments. I respect the guys who do the actual work, not some smart Alec trying to be an intermediary.

Yesterday I shared a ChatGPT-created dashboard. Today, I used Claude to create a dashboard using the Stanbic financial report for 2025. With the tools available now, anyone producing shoddy reports for the board or Exco is lazy. Bring them we will train them. @ipcconsultants
