Maybe my circles/the algos are misleading me but while people are upset about the rise in gas prices I haven’t seen much concern/fear about the decline in stock prices yet.

I Built a “Chart Engine” with Live Data That Plugs Into Your Screener/Dashboards If you are vibe coding to build your own screeners or dashboards, you probably have the same two frustrations: 1. Your screener and dashboard find the tickers… but then you waste time transfering tickers to another platform. 2. There’s a lack of free real-time charting widgets that actually allow for custom indicator development. I wanted something that feels like a “chart engine” you can connect to anything. So I open-sourced a small project called ib_chart: a local web app that serves clean, fast charts powered by Interactive Brokers (IBKR)—and it’s designed to work even if you’re not a programmer. Repo: github.com/willhjw/ib_cha… ---- You Get: A single chart page A comprehensive charting software suite featuring a full array of standard drawing and annotation tools. The platform includes financial data for the past seven quarters alongside projections for the next two quarters, presented through visualized financial graphics. Technical indicators include Moving Averages (MA), VWAP, EMA Structure, ATR Extension from the 50 SMA, ATR, Candle Tightness, and a $Vol/Vol indicator. The UI offers both Light and Dark themes. The system supports seamless switching between local historical data and Interactive Brokers (IB) real-time data feeds, with support for 1m and 5m intraday charts as well as higher-timeframe DWM (Daily, Weekly, Monthly) charts. You can embed it into whatever dashboards or screeners you create by vibe coding. Traders don’t need another “platform.” We need lego blocks: Screener/dashboard → Chart → Decisions. A multi-chart page MultiChart is the feature that changes the workflow. Your screener already produces a list of symbols, right? ib_chart lets you take that list and turn it into a single URL that opens multiple charts at once. Example: http://127.0.0.1:5001/ib_multichart.html?symbols=AAPL,MSFT,NVDA,TSLA&tf=D A grid of charts opens instantly. Each panel loads one symbol. You can choose the timeframe (tf=D, W, or M). Toggles like “Sync symbol” / “Sync D/W/M” let you control how panels move together. This means your “charting step” can be automated: Screener finds tickers → Dashboard generates URL → MultiChart opens → You scan → You act. How it connects to your existing screener and dashboard If you’re not a coder, this is the cheat code. Tell your AI assistant: “I have a screener that outputs a list of tickers. Create a button that opens MultiChart with symbols= filled in from that list.” Where the data comes from Real-time data: Pulled from IBKR real-time (via IB Gateway/TWS API). Historical Daily candles: Can come from either IBKR historical or your own local CSV daily dataset. Fundamentals: Includes an EPS/Revenue endpoint used by the UI, which pulls from finviz and yahoo finance. ---- If you find my work helpful, please consider buying me a coffee. Building this project involves much development time and AI token costs. buymeacoffee.com/willhu

Is there an official text of this speech anywhere?
Marwa Osman || مروة عثمان@Marwa__Osman

A message to Washington? In a tightly structured 12-minute address, Ayatollah Imam Sayyed Mojtaba Khamenei moved from familiar rhetoric into something far more consequential. The opening half followed the expected script; revisiting decades of U.S. warmongering rhetoric: sanctions, assassinations, regional conflicts. But midway through, the tone shifted from retrospective to strategic. Sayyed Khamenei outlined three concrete demands, each with a defined timeline: a rapid U.S. military withdrawal from the Middle East, a full rollback of sanctions within 60 days, and long-term financial compensation for economic damages. Then came the ultimatum. Fail to comply, and Iran escalates, economically, militarily, and potentially nuclearly. Not hypothetically, but operationally: closing the Strait of Hormuz, formalizing defense ties with Russia and China, and moving from ambiguity to declared nuclear deterrence. The timing of external reactions was just as telling. Within hours, both Beijing and Moscow issued statements aligning, carefully but unmistakably, with Tehran's framing. This definitely looked coordinated. The broader context matters. Sayyed Mojtaba Khamenei represents a different leadership style from his martyred predecessor leader. Where martyr Sayyed Ali Khamenei operated through long-term balancing and controlled escalation, Sayyed Mojtaba appears positioned to deliver faster, more decisive outcomes. Iran's internal reports are clear, the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps is in no way, shape or form interested in incrementalism. They are pushing for structural change: removing U.S. influence from the region, restoring Iran's military standing, and forcing a re-negotiation of global power dynamics. And for the first time in decades, Iran practically has the leverage to do this. Rising oil prices, regional instability, growing alignment with China and Russia, and vulnerabilities in global trade routes have shifted the strategic landscape. So this was not just a speech. It was a test. A test of whether the United States is willing, or even able, to operate under a new set of constraints. What happens next will likely define not just the trajectory of this conflict, but the broader balance of power in the Middle East for decades to come.

PDF VERSION OF OUR BOOK: Iran's Perilous Pursuit of Nuclear Weapons  In light of the current events and debates surrounding Iran's nuclear weapons ambitions, we want to make a free PDF of our book, Iran's Perilous Pursuit of Nuclear Weapons, available. The Wall Street Journal in its opinion piece this weekend, The Real Nuclear History of Iran, clearly identified the need to set the record straight on Iran's ambitions, and it provided a great summary of what everyone should know. Our 500 page book is for those who seek more: It richly illustrates Iran's nuclear weapons program from its beginning in the 1980s, to the crash program of the early 2000s, to the preparedness program of the modern days. It provides ample reference and context for sites, names, and capabilities attacked by Israel in June 2025 and again in February/March this year.   Below find a link to the PDF: isis-online.org/books/irans-pe… A few reviews: “The most comprehensive unclassified recounting of Iran's nuclear aspirations ever written...careful, meticulous recitation of the full reality of Iran's efforts."-Wall Street Journal "Most complete account of Iran's nuclear programme available to the general public. Albright and company have taken a deep dive into the archives and come up with many gems."-Survival

@TheStalwart As someone on the right my takeaway was that Bernie’s staffers hate him. Haiku 4.5 and spoonfeeding the LLM to repeat what you want to hear back from it? Is this 2023?

This is the schism of the left right here. By having staked the claim early on, that LLMs are a gimmick or a "stochastic parrot" that can't actually know anything, it's unacceptable, from the perspective of many, to actually take seriously the capabilities of the models.
